Not arsed about them getting beat last night. Matters not one iota.

Hopefully they get another blow on Sunday. Up the Owl Eagles.

Any loss can only be a good thing.

Didn't see the match but team didn't seem their best 11.

Spurs can get a result next week and have better prep with a home match v Huddersfield.

Game over in 90 minutes would be better, league game is 3 days later and City have far better options for rotating, hopefully they take their eye of the game on Sunday though
This is exactly how I see it.  We don’t want extra time next week because that will weaken Spurs for the league game.  If City were playing someone else then that would be different but I see no benefit to them going to extra time.

Like you say, hopefully they take their eyes of the prize this Sunday against Palace.

Their manager is a fraud who needs to be at the richest team in a league and also who's game plan without the ball is tactical fouling.

hopefully they can do them in the league

if they get past spurs in europe its another two games

I want hodgy to leg them all over at the weekend. Then Spurs to run them ragged. Burnley and man u after that if I recall.

I hope the team are handling this European Cup and league run in better than I am. My head's gone

Only a small sample, but the win rate rises without him. They lost their first game after he returned from injury to Burnley then 4 out of the next 5 - they also won 5 of the 7 he was out for, including beating Dortmund. Looking in, it appears he comes back too early, he did the same last season chasing Salah for the Golden Boot -  he even stooped as low as sacrificing his daughter to claim a goal.

Tottenham 2018/19 without Kane: Played 9, Won 6 (66%)

Its gone beyond the point where him getting a red would be a massive shock

The ridiculous thing for me is that so many excuses are made for the antics, 'just letting him know he was there' 'it looks worse in slow motion' was said about the elbow on BT sport last night. Whatever way you look at it, its a red, no matter which player or which team, its a red card

Its so lifeless. They turn up against most sides, have 80% of the ball against a side that doesn't bothers, they pass it around, score a couple of goals and just go through the motions whilst their fans sing about another club.

Its no wonder they end up losing or struggling when a side actually is good enough to compete like us or Spurs or if a side goes at them like Lyon, Palace and Leicester.

To be fair those excuses were more made to defend the referee by a biased Peter Walton, than to defend Fernandinho (those refs do love to stick together....). The level of mental gymnastics he was using yesterday had the likes of Lineker, Ferdinand, Hoddle and even Worf calling him out on it.

I dont get it either, its like people consider them an "underdog" because they have no fan base and were nothing 12 years ago. Its like they are blinded by something, they are an awful club and the fact no one calls them on their shit is astonishing

They still are no marks. That's one of the reasons they get such an easy ride from so many people. There is no established narrative about them, good or bad. Just complete indifference. No one cares about them and no one ever has. No one feels threatened by them. Anything Abu Dhabi win these days is fraudulent and tainted anyway.

For some, they simply serve a useful purpose. United fans don't give a monkeys about them. Their geographic neighbours and rival couldn't care less about them. They just see them as useful in potentially depriving us of a trophy or two. Everton fans see them as useful because Abu Dhabi are their only hope of us not winning the league. The whole anti-Scouse/LFC brigade see them as useful for the same reason. They are all terrified of a proper club (who aren't media darlings) winning titles because it throws their own abject failures into sharp focus. They'd rather see a plastic, fraudulent franchise 'win' instead.

I got that, made me chuckle, too

Never really understood that 'I want them to win because...' attitude, being as football is so unpredictable. The best case is always for your rivals to lose, except in the rarest of circumstances where their winning immediately and directly benefits you
