The problem is that's not a positive if they're just going to chant obnoxious nonsense all game.

It shows how low the bar is though that 3 can be deemed a big win for them. They aren't a bad bunch in general tbf.

If everyone had a full songbook then we wouldn't be special.

Honestly, so long as they don't sing anything disparaging about the city then what they sing is their own business

After about 90 seconds I think it was we had a where’s your famous atmosphere. That went in rotation with all the other usual away fans shite and then some song about solanke used to be scouse or something. They made noise I’ll give them that. Prefer palace fans I think.

I did enjoy the "where’s your famous atmosphere" about 10 seconds after we'd finished a rendition of Allez Allez Allez.

Also enjoyed "we've got the ball" / "we've lost the ball", never fails to make me chuckle.

They were fine, it's Bournemouth after all. Not looking forward to working class lads from the North East singing "sign on" on Wedensday  ::)

Palace do my head in. That constant Woah woah woah drone (the old Lucas song) and drum banging. Yeah they're loud and not singing as much about us but fuck me it's depressing dirge!

Palace' support is about as fabricated as you can get. A load of blag ultras with a few flags contributedby the club, silly drum and repetitive robotic chants.

I'm happy for fans to sing whatever shit they want, as long as they sing about their own club.

A well timed dig at the opposition is fine as long as it's actually funny or vaguely original.

Ones I came across were sound. None of the usual bile and hatred, complimentary about our stadium and fans, gallows humour about the score.

I liked “you’re only here for the Bournemouth” after we scored our 9th.

Their existence it to hopefully bloody the nose of one of the big boys. That doesn't engender a culture of songs about your heroes.

It seems wank when you have been lucky enough to be a part of what our club has done over the years. 90% of the teams teams haven't and so they don't know what they are missing out on.

As I say, if all the other teams had the same level of song book and fan culture that we do then we wouldn't be special anymore so as long as they don't go Tory on us then let them make some noise and maybe they learn one or two things from us whilst they are up for the game

I agree, why don’t we just stick to the footy chants. The Tory song is over sung, not even sure if it’s coming from the young lads/lasses mostly or the old fellas around the ground. I’m no Tory, but let’s stick to the footy

I don't mind the FTT song but I think it loses its impact when randomly sung.

I'd prefer it just as a direct response to the 'sign on' and other poverty porn chants from the opposition drones. Then, it's right in context and makes a point.

For goodness sake, there was even a large group of fans at the trophy parade singing FTT and Maggie's in the mud as we all dispersed. I mean why even taint a great day for all Reds by even thinking about those twats, nevermind sing about them?

I absolutely despise the Tories, but think the song is a powder we should keep dry until needed as a direct response to the moronic shite we hear from the away end far too often.

For me having to listen over the years to sign on and all the other nonsense about poverty seemingly just being in our city, with no real response until now bar boos or sarcastic cheers, I think FTT has its place as a riposte to the shite the away end come out with.

This crap is spouted by non football fans as well. To work or visit outside this city and get the same jokes is tiring to say the least.

Do agree not at random intervals during the match though.

This is what happens with a football crowd when you have a sworn enemy (in our case the Tories). For Manchester United fans it's Scousers, so they've always got to bring us into everything.

A well timed FTT is great but once that 'enemy' was brought into the ground, some will never be able to let it go. There's a reason why we've always tried to keep chants focused on the team.

Thought it was very poor at times last night. Yes there was a response at 1-1 from the crowd which lasted about 5-10 minutes as we would expect, but when we went 1 down the ground was completely dead. It was like we had just given up. I know we weren't playing very well, but we were still creating chances, giving the crowd something to feed off. In 19/20 the response would have been completely different, we realised the team needed us and we responded and so did they. Feels like half the ground has already given up on the league. Hopefully the ending to that game will give those who don't have faith in this side a bit more belief. Just support the side even if we're a bit shite at times at the moment.

Don’t know where in the ground you were but was decent around me in Kop108 for most of 1st half. Dropped just before and after their goal and picked up again in 2nd.Plenty of songs coming from different parts and could hear Annie Rd a few times. Roof came off for the winner.

It’s been a damn sight worse many times.

Definitely been worse. Just the lack of response from the crowd frustrated me (even around me at the back of 305). With it being just before half time that probably had something to do with it, given people will start heading for the concourse around that time. Incredible at the end though. Better atmosphere 10 mins after the game had finished than during it to be fair.  ;D

I usually sit in the Kop which always has good atmospere, the main stand which isn't too bad and Anfield Road which i loved

i sat in the Kenny Dalglish stand yesterday and although the view was amazing (row 3) but the atmospere was shockingly bad, no one wanted to sing, shoutout to the two lads in the front row who sung their hearts out and lost their voices though  :wave

the atmospere yesterday as a whole was good though, the away end had a voice on them too mind, glad we shut them up in the 88th minute

few ajax lads were sat in the KD stand celebrating their goal. hopefully they got kicked out

No idea, but thought it worked out ok. At the start, the Ajax fans were really loud, but as we build into it, we drowned them out easily.

Hate YNWA being that early, it was 19:50, a full 10 minutes before kick-off.

Someone has set up a group proposing that blocks 125-129 (Lower Anfield Road) should be made a singing section like 304-306 is. They are calling for banners to be flying throughout the match in those blocks as well.

Would be great if you could get some atmosphere brewing in the lower anny rd end, especially with the expansion coming. Would hopefully filter throughout the ground and contribute to something much better than what we're currently getting. I think it's long overdue

I sat in the Main stand last night and being perfectly honest I was shocked at how bad the whole atmosphere was.

Totally flat, nobody wanting to sing and a really poor. 've seen something today on twitter from the anfield road pen asking for a petition to try and mirror what RTK done in blocks 305 etc in the Anny Road.

not sure if how it would work as the noise form the Kop was awful as well but would welcome anything like this because last night was embarrassing.

The amount of tickets being passed on for ajax was more than likely a massive contributor to last nights shite atmosphere if it indeed was shite. I wasnt in the ground, sounded average on tv.

There were 1 or 2 players, Nunez for one, trying to lift the crowd with arm gestures. Am thinking both team and support need a bit of a shake!
- all in my opinion of course -
