A terror attack on a high-profile football stadium is inevitably going to be planned or attempted one day, given the popularity of the sport in this country. So shit like this (obviously) has to be taken very, very seriously. Let's hope it's nothing today

Wow abandoned match. Obviously a serious incident.

Most likely just pre-caution. If a bomb threat was made though, and then a suspect package found, they have to make everyone safe. You'd think they'd clear rest of the stadium quickly and get old trafford cordoned of.

Indeed, any joking aside, let's hope it's nothing serious and no one gets hurt and isn't anything to worry about.

Definitely abandoned ? Wow , good to see that everyone is safe . Makes sense to abandon it in case there's any more suspect packages hidden.

Better to be safe than sorry , even if it turns out to have been nothing serious.

They were saying on Sky Sports that they were all patted down as they were entering stadium today, which they had never experienced before, so obviously a threat must have been made before the game.

Yeah obviously a precaution. The big worry is keeping people calm and not causing a panic or stampede.

Perhaps their dickhead minority who sing about Hillsborogh now realise how important stadium safety is.

Hopefully a false alarm and everybody is ok.

Will be interesting to see what they do with the game. Rescheduling with FA Cuo final on Sat won't be easy.
