Looks like that will either be pure class or utter garbage....hoping for the former!

Is the narrator the dude out of IT Crowd?

If you're looking for a great drama, there's plenty out there from the last few years for you to sink your teeth into.

Breaking Bad - the best drama on telly. Heart-attack inducing tension, superbly acted.

Justified - the coolest show on TV. Based on an Elmore Leonard short story, so no surprise the dialogue is fantastic with some great characters.

Chuck - my favourite show. Light-weight in comparison to the other dramas here, but it's just so much fun. Just finished its fifth and final season in the US.

Friday Night Lights - far more than a high-school drama about an American Football team. Heart-breaking.

Honourable mentions to Homeland and Game Of Thrones, the two best new shows of 2011. Loved Borgen also.

And if you're looking for something a little further back: Deadwood, BSG, Mad Men.

If you're looking for a great comedy, look no further than Parks & Recreation, Community or Louie.

Real shame you couldn't get into The West Wing. That and The Wire top my best drama ever list.

Breaking bad, great watching stopped watching after season 1 lost interest, but decided to give it another shot, it's great.
Justified, Highly recommend this, some great lines in it, good stories.
Chuck, I got bored with after season 3 or 4 started out interesting and fun.
Friday Night Lights, not watched, not really interested in it.

Homeland, Game of Thrones, sheer awesomeness.

Agree with others who have recommended Awake, really liking this. Touch, I'm not sure about.
Other stuff I'm watching, Person of Interest and Archer.

Person of Interest is good, vigilante big brother stuff.
Archer is...... Archer, Secret Agent spoof, lots of sarcasm, just read the thread, it's truly wonderful TV.

MAD MEN. I will never not recommend this to anyone. Watched the first three episodes a few months ago and thought it was too slow. Picked it  back up again recently, and once you get five or six in its fantastic. Just have to be patient with it.

Agree on most of those that I've seen. I'm going to pick up The West Wing and Deadwood, the only ones I haven't seen. Only seen two episodes of Community on a flight, but didn't think they were funny. You should add Arrested Development and The Office (US) to this list.

Keep going a bit with Community - I didn't think much of it after the first few episodes, but got hooked not long after that.

Chuck is good fun, but doesn't really rank alongside the grest TV shows listed here.

It's got such universal praise that I think I will revisit and watch it properly, not groggily and fidgety 13 hours into a sleepless flight. Chuck I've never seen, but it is on my list. Most seem to enjoy it without it being too heavy. Sometimes, that's all you want. I know that sometimes I can't be bothered to sit down and invest myself in a drama. Bit of comedy is appropriate then. Comedy is light from a lot of people's lists.

I'm caught up on House of Lies, ten episodes out so far, two more to come for this season. It's a decent show, worth a watch. Especially if you've worked in a corporate environment.

Just watched the first episode of Smash and really enjoyed it going to download the rest of the series.

"Smash" is a musical drama that celebrates the beauty and heartbreak of the Broadway theater as it follows a cross-section of dreamers and schemers who all have one common desire -- to be a "Smash."

If you're into Sci-Fi then you should be watching Fringe. Phenomenal show and John Noble deserves an Emmy for his performance. You're late to the party as this is it's fourth (and possibly last) season, but I highly recommend the DVDs. Or check it out live; it could use the extra eyeballs.

Only one episode of Magic City has been on, the next isn't on for two more weeks.

Awake is decent.

Gunna give the first ep of each a bash whilst i wait for the evening's entertainment to come to fruition  ;)

Cheers

I looked at my video on demand to see what behind the scenes stuff is available for Magic City, and they actually have the first three episodes. Happy days. It also might mean they're all online somewhere.

I was a huge fan of Entourage.

Anyone know anything vaguely similar?
