This is why that quote came out from Inter (I think? Or was it Valencia?) when the new manager asked the players to defend the way Rafa had them defend, and they said "but we had five different ways".

Think that was when Ranieri took over at Valencia.

U16s coach initially I think, so imagine it was either Borrell or Inglethorpe.

Thanks. I had a feeling that he had sprinted up the ladder.. What a bit of fortune to have him handy when Buvac leaves. Players and Klopp seem to respect him a lot and he has worked a lot with the younger ones.

He was the U16s manager for a year then got promoted to first team development coach the following summer and then had more integration with the first team under Klopp.

he's left. So nothing, coaching set up is as it is now, with Pep having returned.

I believe Peter Krawietz is named as assistant manager in the official prem league publications.

Buvac is still listed as First Assistant Coach and Pep as having a 'Senior Role' on the official website so I imagine that the situation is still not officially resolved.

According to this article, https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/the-eye-bad-boy-heart-15036677, it’ll be resolved in the coming weeks with Pep being named as Assistant Coach

Pep has been far more hands on in the pre-match warm-ups. Great to see. A very clever guy and while it was sad for him that it didn't work out in Holland I'm glad he's back with us.

So it looks like still in the air if Buvac is listed on that page. I do hope there is a good resolution between Klopp and Buvac. Im still saddened by Rafa and Paco all these years later.

We have no proof that there was an argument between Klopp and Buvac, it is just as likely that Buvac had a personal issue to deal with that is requiring more time than he originally planned for. There are some reports that his father has been ill.

True, but Ive heard the same rumour from a couple of people that havnt steered me wrong in the past. I do hope his father is ok though.

He isn't coming back.

And Jürgen Klopp's refusal to even talk about him speaks volumns.

His programme notes at the weekend where pretty clear on who his staff is and who it is going to be and who he trusts to work with him.

I wonder if having him back in a senior role will have an effect on how we play? This preseason and against West Ham was all about quick passing and transition. Maybe with an eye of playing against low blocks. Sure we added players that can do that, but others seemed to have been encouraged to do the same.

I remember reading something years ago that he was working on those skills with the young players.

I think our close control and technique may even increase further since from what I can remember reading since back when Pep joined the Academy under the auspices of Borrel I think- we had another bump in that area(after Borrel and co already elevated us in that area)- possession play and an increase in our technical skill. From what I can remember, Pep particularly liked working on players' technical skill on an individual level.
I've said already it, but maybe we'll see a bit more possession play - mostly away from home and better ball control this season and I think this will be down to Pep.
Jurgen would most likely leave that to him since Pep is a coach- a hands-on man, first.

Thanks PoP. Since Rafa's overhaul in 2008/2009, we've had some good youth coaches and the technical skill of our youth teams and Reserves have been excellent as evidenced by the glowing praise of the clubs their loaned to.

Sincerely hope we keep this trend.

Cheers mate, didnt know you worked at the club.

There's no reason for you to be a smart arse about it, the reason he said that is because the Echo has been reporting it several times that Buvac is not coming back.

And theres no reason for you to call me a smart arse. Unless you work at the club or, have dealings, then you dont know, as neither do I. Thats just a fact. And as for The Echo being a great source, lollys. If you want to argue about it go look in the mirror chap.

James bloody Pearce clearly does have a clue with 99.99 percent of the things that happen at this club, he's the one who reported and mentioned it at least twice by now. Pearce is a great source, has been for years and is currently, he happens to work for the Echo hence the the post.

I didn't say nor suggest that I know about the dealings of the club, but Pearce is a very reliable source, and that's a fact.

Lolls.

You started with the name calling. So you get what you give makes absolutely no sense!

Nope, you gave a sarcastic smart arse response to the bloke who said he[Buvac]isn't coming back, ''cheers, I didnt know you worked for the club''

Hence why I said there is no reason for you to be a smart arse and explained to  you why he said that.
