People just want their art to be easy, fuck that.
The sets where incredible and I am sure many directors would cut their arm off to be allowed to present some of the scenes in this series.
As for the story, when it hits the end the reason for the strangeness of some of the story lines become apparent, and the impact is much stronger.
The whole thing questions mental health and society brilliantly. Also what power can do to the wielder and the people without. The fear on both sides. Rarely has it been more important.
Go back and watch it, binge it, whatever. Give it time and I promise it has rewards for you.
