Watching Coman, Davies and Gnabry together is kind of fun?  It's also kind of grating after hating Bayern for so long.

Sancho ate himself out of shape during the break and even now doesn't look anywhere near as quick.  It's getting better but the embarrassing performance against Bayern set a pretty low bar.  Any potential buyer should beware IMO.

Thats one of the stupidest things I have ever seen on here to be honest from a footballing perspective - he scored a hat trick last game, and has had to play virtually all his time on the pitch without a recognised striker as Halaand has been injured for mosrt of the time)  - anyone is able to have a sub-par 45 against a side as good as Bayern whilst not being fully fit and having had 2.5 months off if it was your first match back.  Even then I'd argue that he was no worse than Guereiro/Hazard/Brandt were on that night, and they've been poorer today as well

It’s one of the best atmospheres I’ve heard for a while, the fans haven’t stopped singing

I am - I am saying he picked up a niggle, and was not fit because of that - a different thing to what you are suggesting, which is that he ate too much and that's why he was only fit to play 30 mins in the first 2 weeks the bundesliga was back.

Also, if an "out of shape" player in his first start after 10 weeks off can get a hat trick and be the best player on the pictch by *miles* - then thats quite good

Yeah agreed with Dave McCoy it seems like Sancho has been snacking too much during the lockdown they should call him Fatdon Snackcho. Plus I think he's well overrated give me Thomas Muller over him any day of the week, for £100 million in Pandemic times I would drive him to Man United.

If Werder come away from this with a draw, I think the best they can hope for at this stage is still going to require winning 3 out of the final 4 games to stay up.

Fortuna Düsseldorf dropping points yesterday at least give them hope.

On that first half, you can see why they are where they are. They are treating the ball like a hot potato, no one can get a hold of it and they have zero control. Just get the feeling that if Wolfsburg want it, the game is there for them, they already likely should have been ahead, had a couple top quality chances.  But so far it’s scrappy, ref is trying to let some things go, but there’s still too many fouls, which has been a patern of Werder’s play, not a surprise due to their position I guess.

The fact Düsseldorf have Leipzig and Dortmund next would be a bit of a coup for Bremen, if they weren't themselves facing Bayern during that same stretch

They've nothing to hurt anybody. No pacy players to play counter attack, no aerial threats, players that can't play possession. They're just waiting to get beat.

The lack of pace upfront has massively cost them. And they are potentially on the hook for anywhere from €12m- €15m next summer for David Selke

It’s unreal really, cos last season Bremen where so much fun to watch, and in attack too, they where really good.

But losing Max Kruse seems to have killed them!

It’s sad to me seeing this, love Bremen.

Werder Bremen haven’t scored a home Bundesliga goal from open play now in *13* hours. The last time they did was in November. And in that time alone, they’ve only scored one Bundesliga goal at the Weserstadion.

probably  ;D

Need an early tor, so that it opens up a bit, but both these teams are probably the 2 worst in the league for actually playing open football.  Be able to put a blanket over the midfields.

Malli is a player I used to love at Mainz, but since leaving his career has stalled badly, which is a shame.

they do, they could be and should be at least 2 up now. Playing some really good stuff it has to be said.

And another good chance for Union.

Schalke at least have got into it a bit now, had a couple decent counters. But they are a bit lucky to not to be a couple goals down.

they may well, cos they surely can’t keep up that intensity. Although maybe they will take it easy for a bit then come back at them again, but Schalke had been growing into the game the last few mins.

Best right back in the league now ;D

I actaully read a comment from some Bitter, saying he was one of the best right backs in the Bundesliga this season, so yeah, they could defo take it further  ;D

He’s such a ‘middling’ player, not awful, but certainly nowhere near the best in the league. He basically does nothing consistantly well, just very average. But like today - can come up with a cracker of a goal.
