He's a good player in my opinion, if he's willing to make the effort to be a success here there he could do well but the wages are definately an issue, wasn't he on something like 90k a week ?
I'd rather sell Cole for a Mars bar, save the money and get Pacheco back.

He started most games, on the bench for some now but he's pretty much always in the squad!He's a decent player and could potentially be better than a lot of our signings. We're paying the bulk of his wages. Lille are making a contribution. Think we're also paying a lot of Poulsen's currently too.

Poulsen was sold! I really doubt we're paying Joes wages though - if that were the case we would have just got rid of him back to West Ham or a lower Prem team, would make no sense to loan him out.

Yeah mate. Think general point is that while Cole is under contract to us, unless he's willing to take the paycut (and he's under no obligation to) then it'll continue to cost us. That summer's work was possibly the worst I can remember. File it under cost of the Hodgson period. But we'll pay for it for years.

He has been on the bench in Lille for most of the season. Good player a few years back and obviously a nice lad but he'll be sold in the summer and rightly so.

I'm undecided on Cole. He's obviosuly a quality player who would get into a few top sides (on his 'A' game) it seems aparent he's not wanted though. He's hardly been given a fair crack, the lad was never fit for us. His MASSIVE wage is a problem.
