thank you wijnaldum, it would be almost impossible if we went to ht 0-1, now we have a good chance.

Having Coutinho in the side at the moment is like playing with 10 men. He's clearly not over his achilles injury, whether it's physical or mental, he looks a shadow of the player he normally is. We probably won't see the real player again until next season, sadly, and it's hurting us. Can has been appalling. Not sure I see the point in giving him a new contract. He's been mostly poor this season, and has had ample opportunities. Has never really convinced as a Liverpool player.

Hopefully that goal doesn't spare them from the well deserved bollocking they were going to get anyway. Yet again, too slow and casual, bordering on laziness, yet lacking any sort of composure, it really is very odd . It's like they're complacent about playing these teams, and they are nowhere near good enough to get away with a touch of complacency.

Just about the only touch of composure in the whole 45 minutes was Gini at the end there.

Perhaps someone needs a word with Klopp too. It's the same old tactics over and over again - hoping for something different.

People will be complaining about the tactics again. and we do need a Plan B, but it's been the individual performances that have been bad. Where's the drive, where's the technique? Why do players keep overhitting their passes time and time and time again?

He's had an absolute stinker of a game in general.

Attempting?

I just think he's shit at corners to be honest.

Fine but change at least one of the full backs - endless fucking crosses, punts and horrible decision making from them both on the ball .... again

I said 352 pre match days ago, you need good wide men and Clyne and Milner aren't that

I don't see us winning this to be honest , look at our bench, is awful. Only way we win this is with an individual performance of our players that stand out.

Edit: I have nothing against the kids btw. But that bench is not midtable let alone top 4.

We need a bit of steel in midfield; players who will win the ball and impose themselves. Nobody on the bench will do that so it's up to the players on the pitch to look hard at themselves.

Of course he is - he's the one who's supposed to be controlling the game for us - he can't even control the ball quickly these days. Our attackers aren't looking effective because by the time they get the ball, it's so slow coming, they're already marked by 2-3 players. Their quality shone through in our goal momentarily, but it won't happen in the 2nd half unless Can can get himself in the game and start moving that ball to them quicker.

It's not helping that Klavan has absolutely no handle on their long balls, but Can isn't exactly helping. I'd probably get Lucas in for one of them in the 2nd half. Just wish we had the players on the bench to hook them both.

nonsense.  A lucky bounce in the box which leads to a goal doesn't show anyone's quality.

There's not a single player out there playing to an acceptable level.

Bullshit.  There isn't a player out there who is doing anything of note.  If we were playing a big team all of those players you mentioned would be playing great but have been absolutely awful today.  Big change in mentality needed from our "bigger" players if we are ever going to improve.
It bullshit that Can's shit himself and not gone in for tackles, misplaced passes, and dropped too deep? Aye OK. Get your eyes checked.

We need to switch to 3 at the back. Just put Can to the left of Klavan and tell Clyne and Milner to push up and provide width.
I agree with this, we need to try something different against these teams.

again, he's the favorite scapegoat of the moment but that's complete bullshit that he's been the worst one out there.

44mins and it was completely pathetic. The mentality from Klopp and the players is extremely worrying.

We best get the 3 points.

why klopp?

but to be honest. i have no idea what the game plan is or even if there is any.

3 points would be a fucking bonus and that says a lot.

The worst part is he is the player who we need to play well. He needs to start to win balls and impose himself.

Is it really too much to ask that the players run in games like this? We run a marathon pretty much every game against the top teams, with high intensity too, but against these teams we grind to a halt.

With Coutinho's form I think it's 50% him not being as fit, but also 50% the rest of the team moving the ball far too slowly, and players standing still and not making runs to create space. He's not getting the same amount of room.

Unless you only started watching us this season then that's an outlandish and frankly silly comment to make.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

But there's nobody to bring on to tell those who are not performing that they will be dragged off.

Can had a better second half. He needed to as his first half was wank.

Woodburn looked lively. Gini had a good game too.

Happy with the three points.

Very worried with this teams mentality, I know at 2-1 we are winning but the way we retreated at home to a team who haven't won away all season....well it's very worrying.

Credit Emre for his goal, thought divock worked hard and played a part in both goals.
