Today's result is entirely on the players imo. Mignolet for costing us the goal, and the attackers for constantly losing their heads and fucking up the final parts of our attacks.

Blaming Rodgers for those players being in the team and trajectory is fair enough, of course.

Need Milner replaced asap, a good spell in CM 5 years ago does not a CM make.

12 of the players were BR buys unfortunately, sometimes we lose sight of the connection

Having said that, mentality was better today, especially from those players not thought good enough in the last few games

7th and 6th is mid table to me ::) That means we are the 7th best team in the country. Not good enough. Not with 400million spent.

It was 300 million he spent according to you, fuck it... let's say he spent a billion.

I wonder what happened to the NET spend argument from when Rafa was here.

Rawk isn't the fan Base. I mean how many people are trudging back from the match on here?

Some didn't even watch it I'd wager.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Cry more you big fanny, he's not good enough to manage LFC and he's shown it time and time again. The vast, vast majority of fans have realised it except a few who've got their heads in the sand.

4 wins in 18 games, garbage.

I'm a fanny lol... I'm not the one posting a big red card with the manager's initials on it like I'm fricking 12 years old

after he finished with the most clean sheets last season after he came back from that rough spell?

To be fair, the clean sheets are as much a reflection of the defence as the Gk. We know that he wasn't pulling world class save after world class save week after week. There are too many flaws in his game for him to ever be considered a top keeper. If you want to challenge for the top 4 or even win the league, you need an ace GK. Mignolet isn't even in the top 5 in the league. He's a good lad and kudos to him for his personal battles, but unfortunately, we need much better quality if we really expect to progress. It sounds ruthless, but being blunt and thinking about the team, I think you'll find this is accurate.

The fact that this result hasn't come as that much of a surprise says it all.

I like Rodgers, I had a lot of faith in him at one point but that seems like a long time ago now. Don't think he should be here anymore.

Thou shall not question St. Brendan. HE IS OUR GAFFA. We support his spirited point again newly promo'd Norwich at home. That is what being a Liverpool Superfan® is about.

Everybody I know who goes the game thinks he should go, every red I spoke to away in Bordeaux wanted Rodgers to go.

The idea that it's only RAWK who want him to go (who are by far the most positive LFC forum), is complete nonsense

I can guarantee you the ones who don't rate Milner are the ones who didn't rate henderson either.

Some fans think all there is to a football match is creating chances and scoring goals. Simplistic.

He had a poor game today going forward but he's been a very good signing.

Not really. Milner is aa much better player than Henderson. New club, new players to adapt to. Not great today by his standards, but he'll come good.

Last month, FSG watched their young General Manager of the Boston Red Sox leave in his 4th season as boss, two years after he won a World Series with them in his second season. The reason? They hired a recently fired baseball executive who is regarded as one of the best around. I don't think they're scared to do it here.

Three at the back, defensive midfield maestro, two fullbacks played as wingbacks but playing as fullbacks, all to cater for the might of Norwich and jerome alone upfront.  At anfield.   Edge of the seat, ballsey stuff.

Yep. Was stunned we went 3 at the back. Seriously, what the fuck?

1. In times like this players need to play for the good of the team. Coutinho should have squared that pass it was greedy and totally selfish play. He then tried to fix that by having 10 shots without looking up.

He wasn't doing that in pursuit of personal glory, surely you can see that? His decision-making wasn't great, but it's not like he is just trying to score for his own benefit. He's trying to make things happen for the team, same as Stevie in the game against Chelsea. Both were misguided, but we've maybe got to corral our fewm a little and remember that he's doing what he can to pull our feet out of the fire.

This is not to say that result is good enough. It's clearly fucking not.

Negatives - Milner.

Henderson's injury has me relishing Allen's return.

Milner is a bad centre midfielder.

Touch is too shit
Dawdles on the ball too much
Passing isn't good enough
Isn't clever enough to find the right spaces to pick the ball up in
Isn't very good off the ball, aside from his energy

Its the exact same shite he shows whenever he pulls an England shirt on, but in a more vital part of the pitch. And the less said about his set pieces, the better.

Better performance, but not good enough. Positive performance from Can, Moreno, Sakho, Lucas, Ings.

The thing I remember about that run is that we were desperately unlucky in games. I think we hit the woodwork a record number of times, and we were playing some decent attacking football. We just couldn't hit the back of the net often enough. Now we just look shite all over. Doesn't make sense to me, and that's after the amount he's spent. It's fucking crazy.
Also Kenny took us to finals. Something this guy still hasn't achieved. He had a chance but Villa toppled him. I don't understand FSG's happiness to fire Kenny but give Rodgers more time. We looked better in Dalglish's last days then we do now. Also Kenny didn't get backed financially as much as Rodgers.

Corners and free kick were an embarrassment again today.

How hard is it to say to the recruiting department that we need a set piece specialist? Doesn't matter what position they're filing but one of the zillion players we bring every summer has to be able to strike a dead ball.

Looking at the games coming up:

Aston Villa  H
Everton  A
Tottenham  A
Southampton  H
Chelsea  A
Crystal Palace  H
Man City  A
Swansea  H
Newcastle  A

It's hard to see us getting more than 6 points the way we are playing. That's the first time that I have worried about our upcoming games.

I'm not having someone defend that limp wristed attempt of a punch which cost us a goal, he's a liability with both his feet and his hands.

If you are going to come out like that you have to get a good punch on the ball otherwise better to leave to the defence. End of.

And it was you, among many on here who thought going for Lallana instead of Fabregas is shrewd piece of business, because you know, Lallana would fit in like a glove.

if we are anywhere near this come Xmas I'm pretty sure Rogers will be sacked.

Unfortunately we've blown a lot of money on dross over the last few years and it's all coming to the fore due to the last decent player we have being injured.

Anyone know why Firmino didn't start? And what's happened to Markovich?

On loan, another masterstroke.

Liverpool is the 10th richest club in the world. Right now we need a manager who has competed at the level that such a club should expect to challenge at, in the semi-finals and finals of Champions Leagues and battling at the top of the league. We have done the latter just once under Rodgers, and that, as we now know, was because of Luis Suarez. Rodgers is not the man for the job.
