I'd be minded to hold Fab back and play Chirivella who was excellent against Everton. I might also hold back one of Matip/Lovren and play Hoever as I expect at least one of them will play against Wolves or West Ham. So a little stronger than the side that played Everton but putting faith in the kids who were so magnificent that day. We can have a bench of first teamers in the event that we need a late push to avoid a replay.

I agree with Larouci at left back. Never a dull moment with him!

Love the FA cup.

Looks like we'll be able to afford not to throw it away this time, would love to see us lift it at Wembley. This season could truly turn out to be the most epic one in our entire history.

And then retaining the CL would be even lovelier.

Imagine it will be the same 11 for Wolves on Thursday and West Ham next Wednesday and best 11 available from the rest for Sunday. You’d think that Adrian, Neco Williams, Matip, Lovren, Lallana, Shaqiri, Origi and Minamino are nailed on to start. And then it’s matter of who starts alongside Henderson and Wijnaldum on Thursday and if Keita and Milner are able return to full training this week without any reaction.

Bit of rotation I reckon for wolves, good chance one of Fab/Matip starts with Hendo or Gini/Joe/Virgil getting a rest. Not totally impossible that Gomez goes RB to rest Trent too.

Hope Larouci, Williams, Jones, Elliot and Chirivella all get a run v Shrewsbury.
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

I doubt we do any rotation for Wolves, 4 days is a decent gap after 8 days between Spurs and United.

Fabinho might come in for Ox and that's all I can see really.

Klopp is usually happy with 4 days between games, especially with a week break before that.

I agree a good chance Fabinho will come in for Ox and that'll be it. Then 10-11 changes for Shrewsbury.

                   Adrian
Williams - Lovren - Matip - Larouci

      Jones - Chirivella - Lallana

     Shaqiri - Minamino - Origi

I do like the shout of lonergan in goal due to his familiarity with lower league poor pitches but can't see it happening in reality. Throwing both defenders back in together could be shaky so wouldn't be surprised to maybe see Gomez start alongside Lovren in this and then maybe Matip alongside Van Dijk against West Ham although would seem unfair on Gomez perhaps.

I wouldn't rotate against Wolves as, unlike United, they have (a) a manager and (b) a team, unlike a mixture that's about as coherent as an assortment of alphabet spaghetti, some tiles from Cyrillic Scrabble  and the odd random hieroglyphs.

                  Adrian

Williams, Gomez, Matip, Larouci

                    Fab

        Lallana          Jones

Elliott,          Minamino       Origi

Chirivella on the bench unless Fab starts against Wolves. Getting him (along with Matip and Lovren) fit for the 14th Feb and the run from there is one of the most important outcomes.

I love the FA Cup too, to me there is still something very special about 'running around Wembley with Cup' and it's been far too long since we did that!

Hope we go all out to win it this season.

I'm expecting this:

Adrián

Williams Matip Lovren Larouci

Jones Lallana Minamino

Elliott Origi Shaqiri

Subs:

Kelleher
Phillips
Hoever
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Chirivella
+ two more emergency options (Wijnaldum/Salah/Firmino/Mané/Henderson or maybe two youngsters)

For Matip and Lovren to face Shrewsbury together is nothing special even if both are rusty. I'll expect Fabinho to start both at Wolves and West Ham, so he won't be invovled. Given the level of the opposition, I'm rather certain both Jones and Elliott will start, although this side should have suitable experience down the middle of the park to see them off even without using emergency subs nor require Ox to start the game.

We've had seven consecutive league clean sheets with Gomez and van Dijk. There's no way Gomez or one of the fullbacks would get benched at this stage when there's a full week between league games and a cup game like this in between. The only reason Lovren or Matip feature in the next two league games would be because of an injury, suspension or as a late sub to tighten up a one-goal lead in stoppage time.

That’s going to be my second favorite game this month. Just love the FA cup for the rather unusual clubs you can play in that competition if you are not regularly drawn to PL competition.

Would go with (depending on availability):

Adrian, Neco, Hoever, Matip, Milner/ Larouci, Fab (if he doesn’t start Wolves, Pedro otherwise), Lallana, Jones, Shaq, Elliot, Origi.

Sub Minamino in second half, need match fitness for our regular backup players first. Minamino can have his runout with the second string as well though.

looking forward to seeing a mix of youth and experience on Sunday. I imagine we’ll see something along the lines of this;
Adrian
Williams
Matip
Lovren
Larouci
Fab
Lallana/Ox
Jones
Elliot
Origi
Minamino

Is Shaqiri available for this?  Certainly expecting Divock and Minamino to feature, and probably Fab and Adrian too.  Might bench Ox for the start of this game so Fab gets some important minutes, but I suppose they could both start.  Good opportunities for the kids again.

I think this is actually a really easy line-up to predict.

                   Adrian

Williams   Matip    Lovren    Larouci

     Lallana   Fabinho    Chirivella

     Elliott      Origi        Jones

Combination of showing faith with the youngsters, and giving the returning players some gametime.

Minamino unlikely to be risked because of Mané’s injury and Minamino himself reported calf pain last night.

Even our second team would be too strong for Shrewsbury. This is not arrogance, it is just a fact because of the financial muscle we have, we are just able to get more abled players.

Our youth add Lallana, Lovren, Origi, Ox and Minamino if he is fit, should be adequate.
