It's not really. Look at the table.

Agreed. Wins ar this stage are crucial. Draws don’t make a huge difference when everyone seems to be picking up points

I was one of those flapping about Chelsea by the way! They’d win their last two I think? Three wins and us to come at home didn’t seem too appealing. Thankfully they still seem to be pretty unbalanced.

Just ignore me if it bothers you, should be easy enough.

To be fair you aren't the only one but there's a large component of posters on this site who are seemingly miserable and negative forever, and seem to revel in it. Which is significantly harder to dodge and makes the whole site in my opinion a lot more toxic than usual.

So perhaps I am unfairly taking it out on you for being miserable, but there's an unfortunate and increasingly bothersome undercurrent here of everything is awful (which it isn't great to be fair), we have no hope, it's just going to get worse, and there's nothing to look forward to and you are an idiot or an apologist if you think otherwise.

In isolation that is a great result for Everton, but that result doesn't really help them that much with regard to where they are in the league. A point is always better than none though.

There is far too much doom and gloom on this forum at the moment. The way some are going on, we may as well not try and bother building a squad capable of competing again over the next few seasons. It's already over for us. We're finished. ::)

It's going down to the absolute wire at the bottom. Could genuinely see the three spots being active going into the last week of the season. I'd guess now that if anyone goes it'll be Bournemouth, but Southampton are still kicking themselves despite not being great. Leeds having Rodrigo back is massive and I still see Leicester and West Ham finishing above Everton so it's going to be a mad end to the season down there.

EFC/Spurs is big. A couple could leapfrog Everton before they take to the field that weekend. The points going Everton's way would help us but truthfully the way it's going I'm not sure how much we'll help ourselves with some tough fixtures coming up.

City doing their annual gear shift for the run-in, it seems. Big game for Arsenal tomorrow. Win their next three (Palace (h), Leeds (h), us (a)) and they are as good as Champions.

I don't see them winning at Anfield, but should comfortably win the first two.

I think we might get a point at the Etihad. If Arsenal were to win those 3 games with us taking a point vs City, I think that would do it.

They absolutely do. They’ve scored 13 goals in their last two games which looks like they’re usual stepping up a level into the finish line. I wouldn’t be counting any chickens yet if I was an Arsenal fan. Then again I’ve been saying that since they started celebrating every win like they won the league since November.

City are dead strong towards the end of the season. They're obviously pretty strong throughout the year anyways.

I thought City were comfortable winners at Arsenal last month and I'd expect them to beat them at home. If you told me they would win that game I'd definitely make City favourites as they probably won't drop many points from here on out and I can still see Arsenal dropping some in at least two different games.

City away is the one game left I think we'll definitely lose unfortunately. Our record there is very poor in the last 5 or 6 years. Some of our players haven't got the stomach for the intense concentration and fight needed there.

Hard to know as a 12.30 after international break

2 draws for them in those games might do it. They cannot lose to City.

Winning tomorrow puts pressure on City tho

Their next game is Leeds at home then us and West Ham away. The City match is end of April.

They can lose to City and still win it but would need to hope City don’t win every match as they couldn’t slip up again.

I don’t think City will do that but you never know.

If they keep flirting with relegation they will eventually go down. I think the stadium might fuck them to be honest.

At this point, it wouldn't surprise me if Abu Dhabi bought the damned thing and leased it to them. :D

I think it's a must not lose game for us in ways. If we get beat without a fight, I reckon it's entirely possible we go on to get beat by Chelsea and Arsenal. Then we're on 5 defeats in a row and it's a disasterous position.

The International break may save us a bit.

If we played them this weekend I reckon we'd get mauled. The way Trent and Virgil are defending and the way Haaland is scoring for fun wouldn't be pretty.

Disagree, any other season, and its a great result, but with how the table looks, they need to win games. It's that tight down there. I do agree they are perfectly capable of beating Spurs at home though. And I think they will.

They’re going to rely on their home form to keep them up and they’ve won 3 off their last 4 at home, anything away from home is a bonus, so they’ll be made up with that.

They’ll probably take draws in every single away fixture they have left but I can certainly see them getting 3 more wins at home and I reckon even just another 9 points will probably keep them up.

That was a huge point for them today.

It would have been Fulham this weekend.

But yeah, valid point - hopefully the Reds can regroup - although games back after International breaks have generally been poor - even when the Reds were good.

Liverpool have done us a lot of favours in recent years, spurs in CL final, city against form earlier this season, we need one more big favour please.

Feeling uneasy about palace tomorrow, Saliba misses his first game this season and we had a long 120mins in midweek. Win at all cost’s tomorrow hopefully Vieiras sacking doesn’t galvanise palace, 8 point cushion on city is a must with the form they’re in.

Whatever happened to Man City falling off a cliff and not fancying it this season.

They are starting to hit a bit of a stride after a long slump, Liverpool next up for them which will be a big game. I think City are only one bad result away from giving up on the league, with CL the focus, but conversely if Arsenal slip up before they do they could really pounce. It could come down to whether Liverpool decide to turn up for City or Arsenal (if either).

When they weren't playing well they had a brutal run of Spurs/Chelsea/United/Arsenal away over a few weeks (and Chelsea x2 and Arsenal at home in cup). Up against us if they weren't playing well it was usually Burnley, Bournemouth, Watford and Burton Albion or someone in the cup who would all bend over and get them back on it.
