The darker and more controversial the better for me when it comes to P&S.

I like them as comedians don't get me wrong but I think they excel when it comes to drama these days.

The last episode of the series smashed it.  Thought the Kidnap one was a mess to be honest.  Opinions eh?

Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room is brilliant. Couldn't be bothered with Zanzibar.

I've only just got to the start of the latest seventh series - the pedalo episode. Surprised not everyone warmed to it, I thought it was pretty high quality and enjoyed the extra element it leaned on.

I think series 6 was a bit rocky in quality, with some misses, but reassured that the seventh is off to a good start and hopefully it continues - even if they're not their best ever episodes, they're usually well made and give you something to think about and enjoy.

Just started on this on iPlayer. Can't believe it's passed me by for this long. Saw the Christmas St Nicholas episode which was brilliant and wanted more. 9 series! I'm well chuffed as have been looking for something to binge after finishing The Detectorists.

New series next Thursday, BBC2. The blurb says it has the most shocking scene they have ever done.

Also, apparently, it's the penultimate series and will finish next year.

It'd be nice if at least one of the episodes in this 'black comedy' show was actually comedic this season. It's been a while.

Can't remember last time I watched one and really enjoyed it, shame as it was so good for a few series.

Finishing on series 9 makes sense. Agree with others about the quality in general, but very difficult to write so many at the standard they started at!

I thought the most recent one (3x3) was very good. I know at least one person who was caught out and thought it was a scheduling error.

It was impressive to play it completely straight right up until the end. I kept assuming we'd cut to Shearsmith/Pemberton in a production capacity and something weird would be going on behind the scenes.

Lovely Day Today reference.

Edit: just hit me that The Day Today TV series is 30 years old next year. That'd be like I'm Alan Partridge referencing a Frost Report skit.

If I were a linesman, I would execute defenders who applauded my offsides.

Not sure you'd get away with that on BBC2 these days...

It was brilliant.
I reckon it would have been an immaculate show if the camera panned to the audience and we got a glimpse of Shearsmith and Pemberton.

I expected them to be the cameramen or floor manager types.  Was excellent though.

Think this series has been good - 3x3 was very well done. The creepy family with a lot of skeletons in the closet. Lee Mack being himself was great as that’s not always easy in these things.
