During the Stanislas free kick, was he shouting Daniel? Pretty sure he was, then laughed when he realised it was Gini. Could be wrong like.

Gini needs to get his Feyenoord hair back then:

Either way, I've heard worse: last weekend the Swedish commentator couldn't tell the difference between the blonde Sigurdsson and the almost shaved Richarlison from the commentators' box...

We should send him up for corners. :)

When we need a goal with a few minutes left and get a corner, I can't wait to see him up there.*

*of course, I hope we never need a goal with a few minutes left :P

I'd say he's beyond my wildest expectations to be honest.
Calmness, distribution, leadership, physical attributes, shot stopping, control of the box, assured at set pieces and more often than not pulling out simply incredible feats of goalkeeping skill. He is a complete package and then some. His impact is on level of what Van Dijk brought to our defence. With him in our side we went straight up to one of the best defensive sides in the world at the moment. Simply amazing, bless you Edwards, Klopp and everyone else who made it possible.

16 games, 6 goals conceded, 10 clean sheets. We could break our club record for least number of goals and most number of clean sheets in a season

Great goalkeeping, no messing about, he decided he was going to take charge and did it.

When we drew with Burnley last season, for their goal, the ball was in the air for a full 4 seconds, you could see the defence would struggle to deal with it and I got stick for saying I would have gone for that to punch it clear and I expected Migs to too. Watching that and how long the ball was in the air, I reckon Alisson would have gone for that kind of ball v Burnley too.

He's making all our previous goalkeepers look like crap. Heck, even Rafa's Reina wouldn't be even close to as good as him if he keeps this up. There's this dominant presence. I dont worry about setpieces anymore. When someone plays it long over the top of our backline I already know he'll get there first and snuff it out. When a corner is taken and it looks too close to goal, I already know its gonna be caught. Its mad what a difference he's made in my general confidence of our backline (VVD has had no small part either, but even with VVD, you knew there'd be chances, and a half decent one would most likely go in.) He still feels like he is too good to be true!

I have 0 doubt we'd have been champions of europe last season if he was in goal for us. We'd have won 1-0.

I loved Pepe but again Alisson is a level above. Rafa's team had some great players, particularly in midfield, that were a level above what we have currently. But VVD and Alisson are both incredible and are imo in the reckoning for being the best defender and the best goalkeeper in the world, which neither Carra nor Hyppia nor Pepe were IMO.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

It'll be hard to ever get a midfield as perfect as Stevie-Xabi-Masch, but I do feel that Fabi-Naby-Ox has the potential to be just as tasty if it works out like it seems in my head.

Nope. A backpass has to be a deliberate pass back to the keeper and there's no way you could say that ball from Milner was deliberate. However there was probably enough doubt in his mind for Alisson to go for the header rather than the punch.

I was all for giving Karius more time. Still thought he had great potential. I didn’t think dropping 70 mill on a keeper would bring the equivalent improvement to our game. I was entirely wrong. He dominates his area of the pitch. And some of his saves have been unreal.

Some real character in that back 5 now too. VVD and Alisson are both leaders of men, and you've got lads like Robertson and Trent who play with all the enthusiasm you want. Throw in the class of Gomez at just 21 and that's a serious unit
