Anybody recommend a place in Central London for tonight?

I watched the Burnley game in ‘Greenwood’ big restaurant and sports bar opposite Victoria tube station. Wasn’t particularly full of reds but lots of screens including two big ones upstairs. Worth a shout if you’re stuck.
We are Liverpool... tralalalala...

Due to some piss poor planning for the final I have tickets for a gig at Ally Pally on the same night. Is there anywhere close-by that someone can recommend watching the game and where my mates can meet me afterwards or where I can quickly get to Ally Pally to catch the end of the gig? I'll probably end up shunning it and watching the game in Liverpool regardless but I'm just looking at options!

I'd sell your ticket mate - this is on their website:

Latecomers may not be allowed to be enter the venue. The Venue reserves the right to refuse entry 15 minutes after a headline act has begun their performance.

And even if they let you in, there are no pubs close enough for you to catch anything worthwhile - Ally Pally's probably the most remote venue in London.

Used to watch the match in The famous Royal Oak in muswell hill. Great proper old pub run by a Irish family with some Scouse in them so seemed partisan to the Reds. Plus think it was more of an Arsenal pub. Haven’t been for a few years but looks the same on google maps. Good Guinness too. Bout a 10 minute walk.

The starting gate by the overground is ok with lots of screens but think that was a bit more Tottenhamish

Honestly, sell your ticket. There's nowhere near Ally Pally that will have the kind of atmosphere you'd want and most pubs will be full of Spurs fans anyway.

I've just moved to London from South Africa. Working here for 3 years. I've tried looking for a place to watch today's game but kinda overwhelmed by options. I also read somewhere that 3pm games aren't shown? Would that be the case today?

Not the case today - that only applies to 3pm games on a Saturday. Any pub with Sky will be showing our game.

We are going the Fitzrovia Belle in Totty Ct Road - no idea if it'll be Reds or Spurs (most likely a mixture I'd say) - got table booked for 20 quid deposit each that goes towards food and drinks with table service.

I'm not sure how to quote multiple replies but thanks for the advice re: Ally Pally - it's a ball ache to get to and from easily. The Famous Royal Oak looks like a decent old school pub but I might need to bite the bullet and move my ticket on!

As going to Madrid is sadly now looking unlikely for me, I am trying to decide where in London would be a good place to watch the final? I live in North Kent. At the moment I am thinking of the Blue Eyed Maid at London Bridge or the Spread Eagle pub in Mayfair. Any recommendations please?

Think I'm going to try Spread Eagle as well mate.

It's just getting in that I will think be the issue. Go on LFC London on Facebook and there is a thread with some places as back ups

Yes i am tempted to go to the Spread Eagle, but as you say getting in may be the issue. i contacted them and got the below reply:

''We are not taking reservations for next week, I'm up to about 150 emails so far telling everyone (not to mention about 10 calls a day).

My suggestion would be get here early, I have lads coming at 11.45 to secure a spot, once we are full it will be one in one out from the door supervisors.''

So i think i will need to have a plan b as well.

watched the game yesterday at Riley’s haymarket. Absolutely huge 4K screen at the back of the ground floor with bierkeller style tables. Recommended venue if you are in London, it was full of reds too.

Hi guys, sorry for asking this question when you’ve made A good list, only i’m having troubles figuering out the Location of London pubs exactly according to our hotel.

The case is I was hoping for tickets for the Wolverhampton game for my girlfriend And I, however was unlucky, as some sort of consolidation my girlfriend thought why not spend A fortune and go to London for new years eve instead ?
So here I AM, looking for LFC friendly pubs near our hotel at Stoke Newington High Street, thats guaranteed to show Liverpool - wolves on the 29th december. With atmosphere Like we were in Anfield itself.

We don’t mind going to the City center aswell if the theres A better place there to Go, in better i mean Rather lots of happy noisy Liverpool fans than clean tables.

Thank you in advance !

You will be literally around the corner from the Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington Church Street!

http://theauldshillelagh.co.uk/

https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Auld+Shillelagh/@51.5620538,-0.0816451,17z/

It's a small place, hardly enough room to swing a golf club and not always the best view of the screen but well packed with reds when I go there (and you have the benefit of scoping it out first as you're so close... ;) )

Auld Shil. Best pub in the area, best Guinness in London and many friendly local Scousers to greet you. Won’t be any kind of ticketed NYE set up there either.

If you find it a bit clostrophobic, The Lion over the road or The White Hart on the high street is usually full and usually will have a few reds in
