It really depends on the guest he has on. Personally I can't stand Richard Herring and don't find him funny at all. But if the guest is good I will listen.

Not really seen his own stuff but has quite a broad range of guests so listen to more than I skip.

If you haven’t listened to Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Podcast...

Listen to the latest one with Brian Blessed...

Really enjoying it myself. Excited for what the coming episodes bring. Great Scandi cop drama vibes about it.

Same. Looking forward to Monday when the next episode is released.

I have purposely not googled anything about this except for a search which would show me a picture of the valley/lake.

I listen to a few but the one I religiously try to tune in for is the Joe Rogan podcast. These will be either MMA focused, a general show with some of his stand up comedy friends or s special guest from any walk of life. He's had everyone on their from Billy Corgan, Jamie Fox, Michael Dowd, Louis Theroux.

At the moment I'm listening to one episode with a Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology. It's all about sleep.

Some others I listen to.

The jocko podcast - ex Navy Seal commander sharing his experiences and lots of motivational material.

The Jordan Peterson podcast. I think mostly everyone has heard of him.

Working my way through Distraction Pieces at the minute, every one great so far. Thought Dylan Moran came off as a bit of a knob.

Once I've got through the back catalogue, and the Adam Buxton one, I'll get on Atletico Mince and JerseyKoppite recommended the simpsons podcast Four Finger Discount but I can't find it on Acast.

Anyone know of any podcasts other than the two above that have had Stewart Lee as a guest btw?

Alright the Reds, we’ve got a shiny new studio at TAW and we’d like a shiny new award to stick in it.

1,300 podcasts have received votes in The Listeners’ Choice category of The British Podcast Awards and TAW is in the top 20.

So if you could vote for us - and encourage other people to do the same by any means possible - that would be fantastic. We don’t want some blert from The S*n winning, do we?

Up the Reds,
Robbo

Jon Ronson's 'Butterfly Effect' is a superb listen. Short run but genuinely interesting overview of the effect that Pornhub had on the San Fernando valley industry. Some quite surprising twist and turns.

Just started listening to 'Caliphate' a podcast about the War on Terror and further understanding ISIS by NYT reporter Rukmini Callimachi. It's a weekly podcast and so far 4 have been released. The access and production quality as expected is excellent.

Been meaning to get started with this. Big fan of Rukmini, especially this series in the NYT. Screenshots that she shares on Twitter especially from Telegram chatrooms she's part of are so intriguing.

Chart Music. Various hoary old music hacks (including David Stubbs, Simon Price, Neil Kulkarni & Taylor Parkes) gather together to discuss a random episode of Top of the Pops (70’s & 80’s mostly). If you like listening to a bunch of middle-aged men discussing which member of Showaddywaddy looks the most decrepid, what the fuck Dave Hill is wearing or arguing over which member the Thompson Twins they’d least accept a handmade sandwich from then this is probably the podcast for you.

I like it anyway.

Agree with this. I have to pick and choose the episodes though. A ton of MMA and hunting episodes which I basically ignore.

Thoroughly enjoyed Louis Theroux (twice), Sebastian Junger (twice), Billy Corgan, Shirley Manson and Jordan Peterson especially.

Yeah i skip the MMA ones.

Eddie Bravo and Joey Diaz ones are hilarious listening, but also good to listen to Egyptologists and historians and like,he has such a wide selection of eclectic random guests.

Anyone else think Bill Burr's podcast has taken a drop in quality since he mostly packed in drinking?

Been a while since a really funny one.

Every episode of Atletico Mince is solid gold though.  The songs Bob writes about Sunderland are incredible.

Waking Up with Sam Harris is a good one I stumbled on recently. A bit hit and miss, and Sam can be a bit overly sure of himself at times, but generally thought provoking and educational.

Anyone who's into Jordan Peterson should give his interview with him (both of them) a listen. They show him up for the fraud he is. I had two mates who were really into Peterson but since listening, and consequently looking into him a bit more deeply (especially the lies he told which spurred his career), have pretty much disavowed him.

I'd say it's also since he's settled down and had a kid, comedians (artists?) are generally better when they're angry  ;D

That's why I like the Thursday podcast which runs old episodes, his old stuff is reliably better.

I'm not listening myself yet, but episode 9 came out yesterday, so I think it's still going. I couldn't find out how many episodes there are going to be. I'd guess 10 or 12?

They are recording them every week as they discover more information and, because of the nature of the event and the wider story, I can see it trundling on for a while yet. It's a terrific podcast.

I will be honest though I have listened to all 9 episodes I have all but lost interest. They don't seem to be actually finding anything concrete out. I know it's tough and I enjoy the idea of it being like a community search with people coming forward with clues but they seem to just be stretching the episodes out now.

Get in. This is the sort of podcast that I got into podcasts for.

She really is an excellent journalist. Unbiased, respectful and brave. It's all very good sitting in a studio in the west giving opinions but to actually get out into the war zones and refugee camps over there and get in amongst it all is incredible really.

The second episode of this week’s double episode is extremely upsetting. What ISIS have done and are doing to some Yazidi girls is sick.

I'm a big fan too, but funnily enough find the ones with his pal Theroux among the worst (of a very high calibre/pool). Thought Louis comes across as very unfunny and boring, with nothing of note or insightful to say, and almost totally incapable of maintaining fun irreverent conversation
