Why would he be getting into the box when he's getting no service? I agree with you that normally Torres helps Villa but today he wouldn't have made much of a difference

Villa only needs a ball on the left to try and cut in into the box. Problem is that Argentina's defence was soooo confort today that could put two man over David and he couldn't cut in anytime. Torres always takes with him two CBs and Villa only have to worry about their right back.

No getting service is in relation too with Argentina's defence being able not to sit too deep and pressure higher on the pitch to the likes of Iniesta, Silva, Cesc... why they would when there's no man to worry about up front?

Edit: Of course, Cesc is not Xavi and that matters too.
