Er, no they don't.

A bit of an exaggeration but they certainly aren't sturdy. Puyol is increasing looking off the pace, Ramos leaves too much space on the right and Capdevilla is not good enough. Only defender I'd trust would be Pique, but he does tend to go forward a lot as well.

So just because we've had great players and managers from Scotland, that means he can't hate their nation?

I think it was a ridiculous thing to say considering the number of legends from this club's history who have been Scottish.

I also don't understand how anyone can hate Scotland anyway. We're such a pointless, boring shitehole, why would anyone care enough to hate us?

How can you take Torres on a 14+ hour flight and not play him?! :wave

Villa was our best player in the first half.  Our midfield was poor though.

Why? Villa today was a shadow of what he can be when playing with a number 9 at his side. How many times he got into the box? No one. It was predictable anyway, Silva is impossible that can "worry" Argentina's two CBs.
But tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.

Why should I be jealous of those? I support my own side... How can anyone be jealous of that lot of ponsey short pass boring shit? Slight touch, fall over and die crap?! Pile of shite their World Cup Win. Although, as I am not one for being sour grapes, I have to hand it to them when they won the Euros, their attacking play was breathtakingly good.

Why would he be getting into the box when he's getting no service? I agree with you that normally Torres helps Villa but today he wouldn't have made much of a difference

Villa only needs a ball on the left to try and cut in into the box. Problem is that Argentina's defence was soooo confort today that could put two man over David and he couldn't cut in anytime. Torres always takes with him two CBs and Villa only have to worry about their right back.

No getting service is in relation too with Argentina's defence being able not to sit too deep and pressure higher on the pitch to the likes of Iniesta, Silva, Cesc... why they would when there's no man to worry about up front?

Edit: Of course, Cesc is not Xavi and that matters too.
But tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.

If England had won the world cup playing that "boring shit" way, you would've been the first in line to suck Capello off.

Spain are far from boring. They lived up to the hype and won the damn thing.
