Are they likely to add more UK dates?

Not sure. They didn’t used to do full world tours for each album they’d usually split it and do certain continents on one album then tour the other parts on the next album. Not sure that’s relevant anymore given how infrequently they release records now. I think they’ve announced a lot of American dates though.

I know they’re very conscious about their carbon footprint so like to minimise flying where possible, also sometimes when they play these Festival type dates they aren’t contractually allowed to play any other dates.

All of which is a very long winded explanation to say I have no idea! 😂

Anyone heard the new single Dance of the Clairvoyants? Different from their usual stuff.  Reminds me of a bit of You Are.  Can't wait for the album to drop.

Not quite sure about the new single. Though I'm not generally a massive fan of that many songs on Lightning Bolt or Backspacer either.

Probably need to go back to the self titled Avocado album for the last album that I really enjoyed.

In saying all that, still one of my favourite bands and still got my tickets for Hyde Park. They were very good in Hyde Park in 2010 despite it being a massive venue. Pixies supporting them this time so it should be a good summer's day in July.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Second song from next album has dropped. Got a decent guitar solo in but it’s not up their usual standard again for me

There's a Pearl Jam cover band playing Melkweg for about 25 euro soon. Mudhoney are playing Amsterdam in October for the same price. I know what side of the Green River split I'm on.

Touch me I'm sick.

Yeah I can't say I've been too enamoured with either song so far, really hoping they play lots of older stuff when they are here in April otherwise I'm going to be disappointed with finally getting to see them live.

A quick bump. Managed to get tickets to see PJ next July in Krakow. Should be a nice weekend away, if the world hasn't gone further to shite by then.  ;)

Nice excuse for a weekend away, did that to Amsterdam to see them in 2014 I think. The latest album has grown on me a little, a few good songs but not one of their best for me.

I feel the same. Definitely a grower but not their strongest by any stretch. Looking forwards to visiting Krakow though. Nice flights from Liverpool Airport!

Forgotten they had their own thread. Yep managed to get 2 at Spurs Stadium, front standing £318 - beyond ridiculous, and that’s face value

Pretty much what you pay pay for nearly any A tier artist now, actually probably cheaper than some!

I know, was same for Taylor, looked at AC/DC last week too but couldn’t convince myself to buy them given how poor they seemed at PowerTrip. Still daylight robbery

My mate has got us tickets for AC/DC at Croke Park in Dublin in August.  Seated all he could get - around €130 per ticket!!

I remember paying about £18 to see them in 1991  ;D

I was torn as it’s gotta be their last tour and I’ve seen them on every tour since that Razors Edge tour. But it’s only Angus and Brian really and they looked and sounded so poor in Oct I didn’t want that to be my final live experience. I genuinely hope they will up their game again for a big tour and you get a night to remember. Can’t really go wrong with the songs at least

Urgh. I was really lucky straight in at 10:01 - that never happens in an LFC ticket sale!

If you don’t mind the travel there are still decent seats available in general sale for Barcelona via Spanish ticketmaster

Got early release tickets for a Thursday night show in Sydney this November. Told all my mates they'll do a Sat show and sure enough 30 mins later its announced. Not very happy.

Stadium gig with the Pixies supporting. No ticket pricing until you select your option and then it's $225 for GA standing.
And all the world is football shaped, It's just for me to kick in space. And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste.

Go to both :)

Was looking at the Barcelona shows as well as the London one but my big Pearl Jam fan mate can’t do Barca as he’s at the F1 that weekend

Think it’s Richard Ashcroft here which I do t mind but haven’t listened to much of his stuff since his first solo album which was good

Would have preferred Glen Hansard as big fan of some of The Frames songs especially the For the Birds album
