Has Ancelotti left Madrid?

Isn’t Ancelotti Italian for Arne Slot
22
I’m not even calling for Ancelotti to be here as people seem to think, the issue here is just people calling proven top level managers such as him and others mediocre. Then what is Slot with all due respect?!

Why are you getting so enraged that Liverpool supporters are trying to be optimistic about Liverpool on a Liverpool forum? It's a bit weird!

Haha, look at Ancelotti without elite players and its mid table mediocrity. I think my original post proves that.

And I guess we paint all of Dutch football with the same brush and dismiss Slot because Ten Haag managed a club that anyone could win the Dutch title with.

Do you ever look into the context or are you really taking on that stupid stance?

Erm do you remember what Klopp achieved here without elite players (?) vs what he achieved when he signed some elite players? he finished 8th in his first season here because that was the level of the players he had so he sought to buy improvements. You guys are actually insane, you think a manager who can somehow make elite talent play to an elite level is somehow some kind of stick to beat said manager with. Has Klopp ever won something with a bag of mid table players? Yes you can make a team better than the sum of its parts but it’s only unicorn managers who can do it consistently.

Nobody here spoke of Slot when Klopp said he was leaving but now you guys are arrogant enough to believe a guy like Slot with all due respect would do better than Ancelotti or call managers of that level mediocre. What evidence do you have to suggest that? It’s delusion.

The context is the Dutch league is a massive step down from Liverpool. You can go through the list of Dutch managers who came to this league with much hype about their progressive football and did fuck all. Not to say Slot can’t be successful here but some of you guys are arguing some absolute shite to make it look like Slot is the magic solution here. Downplaying Ancelotti or downplaying Alonso going 47 games unbeaten. It’s crazy. You can argue him being a good manager without talking out of your arse about how other elite managers are overrated.

This isn’t to say Slot is a shit manager btw incase you think so. Let’s just call a spade a spade and say he’s the best of an underwhelming bunch that’s actually available currently. Hopefully he’ll be able to be a success here.

How is that statement relevant to Liverpool FC? We have an elite squad and have been in a title race, more often than not.

Look, I'm not one for advocating Cruise Control Carlo, but then likewise nobody's going to make me feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of chucking a load of money at Feyenoord to give up Arne Slot. I felt significantly more reassured of continued, even possibly enhanced success with Alonso, and moved on to come round to the tangible positives of Amorim's profile with Sporting. But, this really feels like a massive leap of hope more than faith, if I'm being brutally honest.

Admit it probably says more about me right now, but I just think the reality of Klopp's imminent departure and not having the opportunity to crown that off in Dublin, whilst faltering in the league, has really sunk in now  :-\

Feyenoord fans saying Slot is one of their top 3 managers ever behind Ernst Happel and some other fella.  :D

Their opinions don't count because they're not accounting for the fact that Ajax weren't quite as good the season that Feyenoord (who have 1/4 of Ajax's budget) beat them to the title.

Also, they're forgetting that they lost to Roma, who in turn once lost to Bodo-Glimt, which means Slot isn't a good manager. (Kinda like how Klopp sadly became a bad manager for losing to Real Madrid after they'd in turn lost to Sheriff Tiraspol).
