How? How does it look like that?

Klopp said when he arrived at Liverpool the scouts here showed him videos of Grujic

Funnily enough, when I was watching videos of him yesterday, I did think of Vieira. I don't know if that's wishful thinking or not. I don't know anything about him and am certainly not going to make any judgements based on youtube videos of him playing for another club but yeah, I'm now expecting him to be the Serbian Vieira.

My only concern with this transfer is that he had to kill his father and pry his passport out of his da's cold, dead hands.  That may put a lot of pressure on him to do well here.

Wait, he's signed for United?! Can't see him getting ahead of Busquets
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Is that Jurgen's first signing then?

No, it's the committee's first signing under Klopp.  Let's get the excuses in early.

Good luck to him for the rest season and looking forward to seeing whether he can push into our first team quickly next season. Trying to find a way to phrase this which doesn't seem like it's a backhanded dig, it's not, but good to have a manager who can phone a player up and add to them wanting to play here.

Seemed all indications pointed to Buvic being a huge admirer of his and told Klopp about him
Indeed. Although looks as if he was lined up before Klopp arrived.
It's a little of both: "However, the prospect of working under Klopp and Buvac is very attractive to the young player. Buvac probably knows him well, and it’s been confirmed by the media that Klopp has called Grujic a couple of times to express his desire to bring him to LFC. Apparently, LFC have been following the Red Star ace since he was 11."

His name is pronounced GREW - ITCH

if the commentators on red star games are correct, anyway....

He's one of those players that could be gone in a year, or could go on to be a major star....

Who knows?

Good luck to the kid though...

The insinuation with you suggesting he was lined up tho, suggested that the TC had taken care of this on Klopps behalf, tho I think we can both say that that was plainly not the case.

Bought a car today - young, not much mileage on it and it has lots of go. I decided to let the garage keep it and drive around in it for the next few months and then I'll pick it up in the summer at sometime. I'm nice like that. Buying stuff and then giving it back for nothing.

I think it's fine that we're loaning him back. He wants to help gain European football for his home club. He will also have pretty much led his team to the title-they are 25 points ahead in their league now. He also just won the u20 World Cup so no problem with getting the feel for winning things. A good preseason with Klopp will do Marko and the rest of the team a world of good. Think we're suffering now for not having Klopp in preseason.

All in all seems a very sound piece of business. Height, strength, tactical awareness, speed and passion. Not a bad set of attributes.

... kinda ;D

Never know how to react to the whole 'buy then loan back for the season' thing. Hard to get too excited right now, but it's good to know we've bagged a youngster with great potential. Guess I'll have to watch a few Red Star Belgrade games now.

Finally! Took a while, didn't it? The fax must have been out of order or something.

Have no idea how good he is, but looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Is welcome the right word for someone we're sending back on loan?

Decent lean on him, for a young lad. Couple of decent looks, very self assured, you can see he's leaned before. Reminded me a bit of Milners look, and him so much less experienced. Decent early signs. The cracker from 40 yards followed by the victory laps of the field was also interesting, and i did admire his preferred choice of two woman companions at all times on social media, high-risk high reward mentality, as you can see its already showing up well in the leaning, so all in all looks promising.

I do predict the first few brick walls he runs into will be key, he could be a Memphis Depay type and fade into mulish obscurity after encountering failure for the first time, or he could power through it and become quite good. Its all a big mystery.
