By the way - Chillis at the moment........

in the recent past...... The Crescent (top new band), British Sea Power - lonely (ditto), Sum41 (for when I'm angry), Elbow - asleep in the back.

Rap, R&B, Garage...... :upyours

"My girl's mad at me
Been on the telephone for an hour
We hardly said a word
I tried and tried but I could not be heard
Why can't I explain?
Why do I feel this pain?
'Cause everything I say
She doesn't understand
She doesn't realise
She takes it all the wrong way

Ian Hunter, bless him. He played here a few months back. Gig sponsored by SAGA; felt very young amongst that audience. Must admit, it did drag on, that night. Tunes didn't stand the test of time to well to my ears. Thought "roll away" was the best thing ever when I was barely more than a blob of gametes.

Right now, it's another oldies night - two rooms of northern soul and motown coming up at me through the floor. Not as loud as most club nights though, which is a shame, coz these are decent tunes! Might go down for a listen in the bar in a bit ...

I remember the Stereophonics when the were 'The tragic love company'. The drummer is a reds fan, but I have seen him on telly with a C**d*ff City top on, the singer supports Dirty Leeds!!

William Orbit – Pieces In A Modern Style.

His reworking of Adagio for Strings...(not the remixed trance version)... is only bettered by Barber's original piece.
