I know he's playing at a shit standard but Ejaria is class, so comfortable with the ball at his feet and uses his body extremely well.

Was quite a flat performance in many ways. To be fair to Gerrard, his first remit when he went in there was to shore up the leaky defence, so most of the budget has been used doing that so far. McGregor, Flanagan, Goldson & Katic look an improvement so far in the limited time we've seen them.

Still lack a bit of quality from middle to front though, be interesting to see how Ejaria, Coulibaly & Sadiq look when they are up to speed. Otherwise, they are a couple of good players short in that position, & should be what the main focus is on next.

Not 100% related to the actual game but the Hummel kit that Rangers have just got is lovely, really nice kit, Hummel also did a good job on Boro in a related fashion.

I thought with European games I'd be fine with BT Sport, but I guess their coverage doesn't start till the Group games.

Defensively they're holding out well, but the Croatian team are overelaborate in attack, and should probably have scored 2 goals at this point. Unless they change it up for the second leg, this should be a comfortable tie for Rangers over the two legs.

rangers were around 3.7 on betfair pre match, Osijek around 2.2 so definitely a good result for him

Hodgson deserves a lot of derision for many reasons, but like Pulis and Allardyce, for the style of football he likes to play, he's a very good coach, and it's a very basic system, so any new coach following it will do quite well with it, up to a point.

Gerrard is already ahead of the Nevilles and Shearer, Ince, etc., in that he's not trying to reinvent the Barca wheel and be one of the "progressive" coaches. The problem is that if this is the path he's going to go down, it doesn't auger well for any future appointment at Liverpool. But for his own career, it's a smart tactical choice.
