Parry was on Moores' side with a vote on the Board. Regardless of what we individually think of him, this has to be bad news as the Yanks strengthen their grip. It was Parry and Moores who prevented the whole of the last debt being saddled on the club, OK some may say it was a hollow victory, but this news today can only mean that Hicks plans on being here for a long time yet.

I don't think this is bad news:

1. This might actually be about Benitez winning a power game. It's always been clear he has a problem with Parrys' transfer dealings whether it was Gerrard's contract, Vidic's non-signing or Mascherabo's dealings.

2. Hicks isn't wrong about our commercial under performance

3. Parry has no authority to do anything about DIC

Hicks has REQUESTED Parry resigns, but as he only owns 50% he can't force him to.

Rafa has complained about Parry moving too slowly on transfer targets and not releasing enough cash.

Hicks has also said it's not good enough that we trail the Mancs by £80m last year in merchandising-related revenue, considering our pretty similar (his view) global appeal.
