I didn't know that stat about Rodwell. Still think the boy is ridiculously talented. Don't know about international football but I'd agree with the underrated bit about Karl Henry as well. Oh, and if they are intent bigging up the teenagers then they should be looking at Phil Jones as much as any of the Arsenal lads, considering the drop off in experience/ability from Ferdinand/King/Carra/Campbell/Terry to the next bunch.
But the royalty of Lord Winter of Bellendary (he best not see this) says Rodwell is incredible and moans at Capello for not picking him, ignoring the fact he's had three 90 minutes for Everton in his career. For the record, I think Rodwell is going to be incredible.
Winter (and others) have their favourites: mainly the Arsenal lads (especially Wilshire and Walcott) and Rodwell. I don't think England should turn to youth for the sake of it, but they should be looking to nurture a few players such as Jones and Carroll. They are two players who are needed in those positions at the moment, and they can grow into the role, and come World Cup 2014/Euro 2016 (forget Euro 2012), they'll be fully fledged international players.
And there shouldn't be a worry about calling up good players just because they're over 25. Henry has been superb for Wolves.
