It has to be Cisse for me if we need a goal.

If we are a couple of goals to the good, i would love to see Carra step up and break his goal drought.

I am surprised to see Xabi getting so many votes. He was clealy nervous in the cup final, he did miss (but more than made up for it) and didn't put himself forward for one in the shootout. Penalties are as much about confidence as ability and Xabi may have lost it in the cup final.

Oh zenden took a penalty in a cup final for boro and won them the cup(League cup I think). So more 'possibilities'.

That said if we get a penalty against the manc be happy if kuyt stepped up!!

Maybe we should take a leaf out of Walter (stoke) now thats the way to score a pen

8/9 in a Liverpool shirt isn't it, phenomenal record.
Gerrard, Adam, and Suarez are good penalty takers but there is no one more clinical from the sport than thr Dutchman.
Think we are set if we find ourselves in a penalty shootout.

That's true, only guaranteed way of scoring these days is to go high, all keepers move off the line so if they go the right way they tend to save anything on the ground.

Gerrard combines the best mix of accuracy and power in my opinion, and Reina's taught him where to place it so the keeper can't get to it. He missed a couple early on in his career, but besides that he has an excellent record. Kuyt is great at them, but I feel more confident with Gerrard lining up to take one
