A huge amount of his crosses and passes seem to get cut out, Trent and kostas beat the blocker way easier.
His strength is his engine which looks as good as ever, for some reason his passing has dropped off from a couple of seasons back. Maybe he's easier to read and players have worked him out a bit, or maybe it's me.
To be honest when all of their defenders are pretty much a lot taller than our attackers, it's easy to see why perhaps some crosses get cut out. It's a complete mismatch if we're expect Mo at 175cm to out jump Duffy at 193cm.
I think this is a game where we needed to find a different ways to score, or add a different dimension to those crosses i.e. we needed smart movement to generate space in the box for Mane or Salah to pounce on, whereas most of the time Robbo got forward, he was launching it into a pretty crowded box so it never looked particularly threatening. Trent has the ability to cross from deeper, and much earlier and this has the chance to catch out a defender if they aren't perfectly positioned because of the speed that he sends the ball across. In fact, this is how Ox's cross caught them out and we scored our 2nd goal.
