French striker Nicolas Anelka has said he is ready to sign a permanent deal with Liverpool. The Paris St Germain player has been instrumental in helping Liverpool maintain their title challenge since he arrived at Anfield on loan last December. “Phil Thomson will soon be okay to sign me to the club,” Anelka said today. “It’s been a long time since I enjoyed myself on the pitch. Liverpool is a fantastic club.”
