Please send me factual statements regarding approach to the stadium, the policing outside including being held by the police and tear gassing, policing inside and on leaving. That´s great - but is there is a reason he is only wanting stories of robberies, and not the behaviour of the French police and authorities as well? We have to be careful what sort of French culture-war narratives we get engaged with.

I believe the club and mr. scraton's effort are linked but distinct.

He doesn't only want stories of robberies, not sure where you picked that up from.

Only that there was some talk of the French Far Right latching onto this, to effectively put all the blame on the black and brown people of Saint-Denis and the pandering to them by the authorities - and let off UEFA/the police/wider organisational failures. Long story short this thing has already been sucked into the French culture wars. The way that it phrased/emphasised "robberies/injuries" first made it sound like the journalist could be seeking to go either way.

Not questioning your mate or his intentions there at all - just would be interested to know who the journalist friend is and what paper he would be writing for. Of course it´s good for peoples stories to get as much exposure as possible, but it does also pay to tread carefully in who we deal with.

It's all so sad I just can't bear to even listen to the Redmen or TAW stuff on the final. Breaks your heart what happened and how the authorities are trying to blame it on Liverpool and our supporters. There's people who re-mortgaged their houses to fund this trip.

between Sunday and Monday I wrote about 3000 words more for my benefit than anything else. it was excessive but really important we document as much as we can. if you're a lot more succinct than I am it shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to write a few bullet points. get it done please.
