When you look at what a complete dickhead Sterling has become I sometimes wonder if he was always like this or if it's the City-effect?

Given the way he forced his move through, I don't think he was ever really a Liverpool player, no matter how good he might be.

It's a non-starter. City wouldn't sell him to us, Chelsea or United and Arsenal aren't even in Europe. Real/Barca haven't got the money.

Real seem really good at getting decent fees for squad players, youngsters and cast offs, it's surprising how many seasons they've managed to pull in £100 million+ over recent years.

He’s always been good at that, especially at City. I don’t think he’s a natural finisher at all but he does consistently get in positions to score relatively simple chances.

I don't like him on a completely tribal football level. The fact that he is delivering for England in a major international tournament despite the fact most of the gutter press in this country (one in particular) try their best to slag him for every move he makes is boss, though.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but I enjoyed reading it, learning about his sister taking him on the bus to training, and especially learning that his daughter is a massive Liverpool fan.

Thought he was an absolute tit the way he left the club but he's earned a lot of respect these past years, and that's before these Euros.

this earned respect has that come through his attack on Gomez, saying no one wants Liverpool to win, his diving or his singing about Sean Cox getting battered in the streets ? theres a lot to choose from
