The 7,000 posts is up and to celebrate the occasion, I'm going to use images of our very own beautiful RAWK pin-up to convey some emotions and feelings i think she would have shown in the face of selected LFC Penalty shootouts over the years.

First up, a young Dierdre enjoys Bruce Grobbelaar's antics during the penalty shootout in 1984

Dierdre lapping it up when Anton Ferdinand (who she hates by the way) couldnt beat our Pepe in the FA Cup final 2006

Here, Dierdre watches helplessly as Charlie Adam skies his penalty during the 2012 Carling cup final shootout.

Through Currys front window somewhere in Manchester, Dierdre watches on with her best freind Rita as Shevchenko steps up to try and Keep Milan in the 2005 final

And finally, Deirdre beams while Stevie lifts old Big Ears.

Thats it folks. Be back in one thousend posts time for more Liverpool FC / Deirdrie Barlow nostalgia.

While dining with Mrs Barlow at my local Beefeater the other night, we chatted dreamily about our colorful lives, we touched upon the plethora of demanding lovers that have come and gone, our brushes with the law and our love of pottery.  Deirdre revealed things about Ken, Samir and Dev that nearly made choke on my New York Strip.  She also talked frankly and openly about her attempts to give up smoking during her time in prison and her massive collection of chain-link belts that had always caused underling resentment in the street especially from Rita and Liz McDonald.

She just laughed hysterically when I suggested people picked on her looks and referred to her as 'Turkey Neck'. She simply accused these agitators as 'Jealous c*nts'. That showed me how much strength that woman she really had.

When she stood up to leave, gracefully accepting my offer to pay the bill as she had forgotten her purse, I remembered she often took little Simon down to the Red Rec to watch Weatherfield Rovers.  Knowing about her love of football and a sworn in Weatherfield Ultra, I shouted after her. "What score do you think It will be on Sunday afternoon D?".

She turned, folded her arms, tilted her head and looked at me with that cheeky face before calmly saying:

10,000 Posts up. It's been wonderful and Deirdre would have told me she was proud if she could have been bothered.

What better way to celebrate a landmark post than by offering up a picture of Deirdre Barlow in the midst of receiving a facial from Ken?

The worrying thing is, I have been with more than one lass who has had a bit of the Deidre about her in my time. In all fairness though, they were the dirtiest.
