Stone cold classic!

Absolutely. If it fills a floor in a nite club, then it shouldn't qualify as a guilty pleasure. Keep on Movin' ain't no All Rise, though
I watched TOTP Australian Hits last week on BBC4, and there's a bunch of songs that veer between classic pop tunes (Torn) and guilty pleasure (You're the Voice). I think it has to have a certain amount of
fromage to qualify as a guilty pleasure, and a bagpipe solo in You're the Voice qualifies that. Torn is a classic pop song, whereas Holly Valance is just cheesy and thus a guilty pleasure. (Holly herself was certainly a guilty pleasure in her neighbours days).
The Carpenters, for example, have always been a 'guilty pleasure band', but Superstar is too good a song to be one. Anyone who listens to the Sonic Youth version can testify to that.
Does Wichita Lineman count as a guilty pleasure?
Absolutely not. It's one of the greatest pop songs ever recorded. 'And I need you more than want you / And I want you for all time' is quite possible the greatest lyrics in modern music.
