FUCK OFF.

Doctor fuckin Doom

Once bitten, twice shy - did you follow Wheel of Time? Was supposed to be a six book series, was still unfinished after 11 and then the author died. I know I was supposed to feel sorry for him; but I was busy feeling sorry for myself.

A Song of fire and Ice was originally supposed to be a trilogy - wasn't it? Regardless, the way he keeps expanding the plot, I doubt the series will ever be finished. I sincerely hope it does, and the ending is good.
Would love the 19th more and more trophies; but would love even more to see a fan owned LFC.

I can't, I have to throw a 15 on my 19 sided die first.

I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

That's hysterical, I love Reno 911

Oh and to keep it on topic, I liked these books until I read loveisreal's comments and now I'm not sure that I do anymore and that makes me sad :(

Want to order them in hardback copies (hate paperback) yet can't find the set in Hardback so shall have to buy them seperately.

If there is one thing I've learnt through my time on this Earth mate, it's that the books are ALWAYS better than the films/TV series.

Its upto you; but you might want to put that off till you see if the series getting to an end - as of now, I am worried it will remain unfinished.

Downloading the first episode, would be watching tonight.

Haven't read the books but found episode one surprisingly enjoyable, was expecting to be let down after all the hype.

Oh and errrr, what's with all the sister banging bollocks? How many characters should I expect to have an unhealthy interest in their siblings?

Work perk. HBO sent us the files so we can get them subtitled in advance of TX. Some shows we get pretty close to US, others take their sweet time. Ain't bad though, certainly breaks up the day knowing watching a bit of TV is part of the job!

But will watch a few more to see if it gets any better hopefully it won't get any worse.

Thought that was bollocks and that even of recent shows, Boardwalk Empire's pilot shat all over it. Directed by Tim Van Patten as well who I noticed did some of the better non-Scorcese eps of Boardwalk, so I am going to take the thought that the actual material they had to work with for this episode was garbage. Not arsed about watching it next week.

I've read about half of the first book only, and so far enjoying it. I watched ep.1. I thought they tried to cram too much into it...the episode encompassed almost everything I've read so far.  But that's pretty common with pilots...introducing everyone, trying to get all the plots and subplots off the ground. Anyway, I thought the book started slow.

Without spoiling anything, I did think the circumstances of Bran's incident were different enough from the book as to affect the plot somewhat (what he saw was not as scandalous in the book as what he heard...in the show he heard nothing).

I'll watch the next few episodes before passing judgment, but I think it shows some promise. It could still go either way though.
