BAR back in F1. Well technically BAT (British American Tobacco) are sponsoring McLaren on a multi-year deal. They claim it will have "on-car and off-car presence throughout the season" but it would be "at all times in line with applicable regulation and legislation".

Seems to be more along the lines of the e-cig brands etc. It's a grey area in terms of tobacco sponsors. Be interesting to see what happens when Mclaren show off their car on Wednesday

To be fair I do expect to see plenty of smoking McLaren cars this season so the sponsorship might well be apt.

Huge soft spot for Williams. Really excited to see how Kubica and Russell do for very different reasons. Nice looking car.......just hope it is driveable and at least able to compete !

STR livery continuing to be beautiful.

A good-looking trio so far, actually. Are we expecting significant changes to the liveries of the other cars, or are Haas and Williams likely to be the most obviously-different? Wondering about 'Racing Point', Renault, and McLaren I guess.

I agree, that Williams is ugly. I don't particularly like Williams, but I do hope that Kubica and Russell do well.

Racing Point is "99 percent certain" to remain pink according to Otmar Szafnauer. Mclaren - in keeping with being the Everton of f1 these days - apparently accidentally leaked a picture of their new car on their facebook page. If that turns out to be correct it's going to remain orange, with coca-cola sponsorships on it. Ferrari are apparently going to go a darker red, with rumours of matt paint. No idea on renault, but wouldn't expect much change.

Maybe because it has clearly defined lines between blue and black paints. If it were faded into the black, it probably would have looked better. Especially near the cockpit and behind the front wheel.

Lots of the teams getting stick on the designs, but if there's no major sponsorship changes then colours will generally be as was.

I don't agree actually but I can see why some wouldn`t like it.

The renault looks almost exactly the same. It would be helpful to have a side by side comparison with some of these cars with last year so you really get an impression of the modifications.

Pre season testing not long now.....and then we can have the usual fun and games of who is bluffing, who appears genuinely quick but that is because other teams are bluffing and those who are likely to have reliability problems.
