Anyone watch that last night? Amazing

Spoiler
Randy Couture fucking schooled tim Sylvia, won every single round. Knocked him on his arse with his first punch. Sylvia didn't have an answer for any of it. Went on for 25 minutes. Was absolutely brilliant. If you ever need a bit of motivation in your life watch that fight. He is 43 years of age for fucks sake!
[close]

Watched it

Was fucking delighted to See Randy back and he gave The Maine-iac a lesson

Silviahas great take down defense but every time Couture went for a take down, he nailed it

Honestly though he was going to finish it is the first 30 seconds

I know but to last 25 minutes against a 280lb 6ft 8 beast and school him for every round is nothing short of amazing.

It was a good night all round.
Nice to see Matt Hughes and Rich Franklin getting back to winning ways.
Fuck me, thought Randy was amazing last night. Coulda sworn he was the younger man. Can you imagine him fighting Cro Cop?

Randy the legend. What a fight.

Wasn't impressed by Hughes or Franklin, Don't think either of them will take their titles back if Silva amd GSP are on their respective games.

It'll be intersting to see what Randy does now, will he take on cro cop or retire? Maybe even Arlovski, i think eiTher would give him a better fight than that big sack of shit. Injury my fucking arse!

Well I hear Mirko Cro Cop, Michael Bisping and Forrest Griffin will all be fighting on the Manchester Event
Saw a poster in Liverpool with Cro Cop, Bisping and Arlovski on it. :wave

-EDIT-
Mirko Cro Cop Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
Michael Bisping Vs. Elvis Sinosic
Andrei Arlovski Vs. Fabricio Werdum
Forrest Griffin Vs. Lyoto Machida

No big match ups there is there?

Decent to see Arlovski, Griffin, Bisping and Cro Cop but a match up would have been nice

Guess they're just dipping their toes over the pond to check out the response.

I think the MEN will sell out though even at their ridiculous prices.

Well I don't know how you can say that. Both Werdum (definite top 10 heavyweight) and Machida have a good chance of winning their fights. Werdum has fought some good opposition in Pride - Big Nog, Aleksander Emelianenko, Overeem, Kharitonov etc and has done well. And as for Machida, he has a 9-0 record and look at who he's beaten - Franklin, BJ Penn etc. Him against Forrest may well be the fight of the night.

So...no big match up's is there

Like a Couture/Sylvia fight etc

There is usually one massive headline fight - where is it?

Bispings homecoming?

Well, I suppose they don't want their main British up and coming star getting beaten on their 2nd ever event here. Which is fair enough. Makes sense to promote him over here but it's too early for him to fight the real top competition yet. Not sure whether him or Cro Cop will be the main fight. I'd take the Arlovski and Griffin fights over 'main event match ups' like Silva v Lutter though all the time.

UFC 69 on now on Bravo.

First fight was quite good - lots of blood spilled. 2nd fight not up too much but 3rd fight is looking good - all action.
GSP is defending his title against Matt Serra but I can't see GSP losing his title. Fight of the night could be Sanchez V Koscheck. They seem to have a genuine dislike for each other so it could get ugly quickly.

Dana White announced the signing of a new heavyweight fighter who is a jujitsu submission specialist - can't say or remember his name tho.

Good fight with Cro Cop. I think he was a bit lucky that the bell went when it did at the end of the first round. Great submission though.

Yeah the Garcia - Huerta fight was excellent - shame the grudge fight with Sanchez and Koscheck did not live up to all the hype.

There's a pressure point behind the ear isn't there so I presume that's what made GSP completely lose his balance. There didn't seem to be enough contact otherwise. Then once that had happened, Serra finished it off very well. Didn't just dive in but picked him off. All credit to him for that although he'd probably lose 9 times out of 10 normally.

Yeah well done to Serra for winning against GSP. Watching the fight again last night i couldnt help notice George looked like he wasnt up for it compared to when he won the belt against Hughes.

I was a bit disappointed with Diego Sanchez, he flopped it.

I've watched the first two and am enjoying it as usual but the choice of Pulver as a coach is a bit daft. Two of the fighters he's already fought. And he even lost to one of them! In his most recent fight... a 30 second knock out too...

Was expecting a bit more from Noah last night. Manny looked a bit of a twat with all the posturing up and "Fuck you Bro, Fuck you MoFo". He seemed to want to fight everyone until Gabe said he did it.

First time watching this season and I saw enough to keep me watching for a while...

That Manny seems one hell of a fighter, seems a bit of a arse though the way he acted on the build up to the fight.
I also think Gabe is a huge arsehole now, especially with the way he treats Matt Wiman, I have a feeling Gabe is going to get a good pasting in his fight as nearly everyone in the house seems to hate him now

Off to the M.E.N. now for UFC 70. 8)

Going to predict:

Cro Cop to win - 2nd round KO

Machida to win - Decision

Bisping to win - 1st round KO

Werdum to win - 2nd round submission

Kongo to win - 3rd round KO

Also keeping an eye out for Terry Etim who's a scouser and is on the card. Has a 9-0 record and meant to be pretty good...
