I've known you as Sir Harvest Fields for some time now, and I have followed your thread for years. You probably don't remember but you offered me some eye opening, to the point and friendly advice about my father about 4 years ago. During that difficult time in my life I was able to log onto RAWK and receive support and guidance from a kind stranger who I will from now on call Carl.

I hope you know the importance of the thread you started, and the years of good advice you have given countless people. I think it can be summed up as the genuinely sound support you have offered to people. I just want you to know that you have genuinely impacted my life, and the life of my father. For that I thank you. I wish you the safest and healthiest recovery. As I'm sure you'd advise, please grasp every avenue of support available once you are out.

I've been in that thread with you as I've battled against alcohol myself albeit to a lesser degree. I really hope you pull through and am thinking of you. My brother is currently suffering from similar issues and is worse in lots of ways than I was and I am really worried about him. I've forwarded him this thread in the hope that whatever happens, hopefully you getting to this stage could potentially have a positive impact on someone else. I'm sorry if that sounds cold hearted, it is meant with the best of love as I'm sure your family has for you, I have for my brother.

Have always enjoyed SHFs posting style (i.e. brutal and honest on others and himself!) Very sorry to hear of his latest problems. Whilst the better prognosis today must be a huge relief to he and his family & friends I really hope that he pulls through and gets/accepts all the help available to plough a new furrow.

Get yourself better mate. There is a huge number here (and I'm sure in non-online world) who are really and truly ate rooting for you. Get well and keep well.

Been coming on RAWK for donkeys years but it seems all this time I've somehow clearly missed one of its star performers judging from the wonderful comments in this thread.

Reading your sister's initial comments made me so sad for you and your loved ones even though I don't know you. However, the subsequent ray of hope she offered seems like it just might be something that you and your loved ones can cling to. Hope is such a precious thing. Please god let it provide you and them with a route out of your nightmare.
