Verified by Visa Scam?
« on: August 4, 2017, 07:36:57 pm »
So yesterday i was trying to convert some money on the post office website. Entered the usual card details (yes the site was secure). I haven't had to deal with Verified by visa for years, it usually just bypasses it. Initially i tried on chrome, twice i tried and twice the payment failed, i was basically greeted with this...

I thought that was odd so reluctantly had a bash on edge, except this time the verified by visa authentication box popped up and stayed up, i vaguely remembered from years ago it asked for a password but this time it asked for my expiry date, my sort code and account number, my cvc and email address (optional). Obviously alarm bells started ringing so i cancelled it. I've kept an eye on my bank and had no withdrawals, i've ran scans with mbam and it's returned nothing. No dodgy emails or phone calls etc.

Still though, something isn't right there, how can i go about ridding this issue? I'm pretty sure it's my end that's fucked up not the post office site.
