Not gonna start a new thread for this but felt I received a disproportionately long holiday given the "crime" I was accused of.
I'm not sure how a link to the home /entry page of an escort site directly counts as posting pornographic material when there was no nudity in the link I posted. You'd actually have to do a detailed search for escorts to find any nudity and/or pornographic material, and although in poor taste it was a contextually relevant joke in the ASSHAT of all places. And then within the next 2-3 days there were gifs of animated characters swinging their ding dongs for all to see, and which were treated as funny.
As per my apology in "report to admin" my post was a joke that I'd tried to delete. Anyway point taken and I should've known better but I'd have thought 80% level warnings would be reserved for more serious offences, like personal abuse, seriously graphic or widely offensive material, repeat offending, etc...
...anyway just felt it was pretty OTT IMO given I've yet to personally offend anyone or even get into minor spat in 12 years on this board. It's like being done for a puff, while people are flinging chairs and bottles at each other's faces. And also I'm being "watched" like some kind of serial porn peddler.
Anyway, it's a non-commercial (fairly meticulously) moderated forum so obviously I expect you to mod it however you like, just was baffling how far that was taken.
On the upside my work productivity shot through the roof for 3 weeks and conversely I'm pretty screwed now.
