He will be 31 in November. So he will be 33 when he activates that clause.

Although on the plus side for United fans, things like dribbling, creating, pace, movement are all things we typically see decline in attacking players. Fellaini has none of that anyway and I don't think things like 'head elbowed per 90' or 'headers won from 90 yard punts per 90' decline with age.

I reckon he'll be an effective long ball target man/shithouse for the duration of that contract.

1. Sounding depressed
2. Lashing out/deflecting

It was hardly the scenario for option 2. Maybe if someone had pressed him by asking "but... it's Fellaini tho" or "are you not worried that statistical models on style of play is grouping you with shit teams?". Then he could have gotten defensive and started sniping back at the journalist or deflect onto Woodward or something. Maybe mention that United always sign shit midfielders, then make a list of the shit ones Fergie signed to prove his point.

The thing about Fellaini is, this very split opinion on him showcases how most of the general fanbase know jack squat about football. Let's be honest here - most of your opinions are absolutely worthless. You think may think they have merit, but if this forum of anything to go off of, they're built on emotion and general discontent from the clubs poor form since SAF retired. Not to forget, the online manipulation of opinion (ahem Russia ) has you by the feckin balls.

Fellaini isn't nearly as dire as you make him to be. That's not my opinion even, bc he is rather unfashionable in appearance. It's the fact that he keeps getting valued despite the manager turnaround we've seen. He could easily have been left in the dust after Moyes. And then again after Aloysius Paulus Maria "Louis" van Gaal. And now, one of the most successful managers in Europe is all about keeping him in the squad.

Whose opinion do you think means more here? These football experts? Or your amateur , couch potato , needs excitement from United to make every day better , opinion ?
