Mods, could someone start a Kiev topic in European away forum please? I'm not allowed to make a new topic in that section.

Thanks

£875 seems a bit steep seen others for like £650

Accommodation seems like the biggest killer at the moment

Try Airbnb, although might be worth waiting for now to be honest. Would expect more hotels to be available once the Germans and Italians release any rooms that they've booked.

Anyone had their ballot emails from the club yet?  I know it's still early morning but supposed to be sent out sometime today.

Who is £650? Sport Options said they're announcing flights tomorrow/Saturday

Sporting Options also said they will very likely only sell to people who have travelled with them this season

Spent countless hours looking at this - for me the time off work + away from family for 3/4 days would cost far more than a day trip at £850

Imagine a match ticket being just shy of £400! :o

Yeah, worth labouring this point again. Ticket pricing is unreasonable, to say the least. But then, where do you even begin on the way UEFA manage tickets allocations overall? None of this should come as a surprise.

Anyway, we booked our travel and hotel a few weeks back and it had already started creeping up then, although nowhere near the silly levels it's now at, and will continue to surpass. FWIW, looking for a mate last week I worked out that you could get there and back for £160. Flying in and out of Warsaw, Thursday to Monday, and an overnight return bus each way from there. Marathon of a journey, but a much more affordable one. Not sure if that option is still open now.

On the ballot, looking like a roughly 1-in-5 chance, i'd guess. Can't do anything but wait and hope. If we don't get lucky then we'll still have one hell of a party in Kiev. Worst case we watch it in a bar somewhere, no doubt with a few thousand others, or we snare one over there.

Up The Reds.

Apparently, reading elsewhere some Ukrainians said that the hotels were similar prices for the Euros in 2012 but the week before a lot of rooms became available at more normal prices so just keep checking the websites.

Managed to get a bunk room in a hostel 4km from the centre after Bayern lost the first leg for £12 for the Saturday night so some do come up!

Yeah I can confirm that was the case 2012..

Uff...Thought it was just me...still nothing in the mailbox - registration starts tomorrow so I hope it will come later today...
For the more experience-ones - is this e-mail essential? If I did not get it and still manage the criteria of 6 games on my members card - will I have a problem with registration to ballot?

Looks like just a generic email confirming timing of the ballot etc. Don’t think there’s a special link or anything.

Hoping someone can clarify a ballot question, if two of us have 6 credits do we go into the ballot as individual applicants or joint (I.e. could one get a ticket and not the other?)

Signing up for the ballot this morning. Long shot. Shame they didnt count the qualifiers in the 7, haha.

2 of us going in here, it's a shame they're not linked - as one of use wont be going without the other.

The first round of fixtures are 18/19 Sep. I imagine money will be taken the week straight after the draw if we're at home in the first round

I'm first time in European AutoCup Scheme - can anyone tell me if the payments for the group phase will be taken game by game or stright away for 3 games?
