I can see the argument with Sturridge but you'd rather keep a guy who has barely kicked a ball for two years than one who is available most weeks?
It may seem harsh but I've seen little progression in Origi. He appears to me to be a "when the going's good" sort of player, someone who will score you a worldie when we're comfortably on top but who looks bewildered when we come up against the low block or are behind. If Sturridge or Firmino's fit (and the other two positions of the front three are filled with 1st/2nd choice options) then Origi doesn't get any minutes on the pitch but Ings offers something different. He's a fucking terrier and will hassle opposition players into mistakes and never seems to go missing. I can see an potential impact when Ings comes into a game we're losing/drawing, I don't feel the same about Origi.

Obviously all subjective but that's, like, my opinion, man ;)

I can't.

I'm sat on a beach and someone's just bought me a banana milkshake when I asked for an ice coffee.

So just cut me some slack, I'm gonna have to wait a good 4 minutes to get my beverage.

Are you one of those waiters serving at a beach bar?
In which case, I can imagine the chagrin you must have felt at serving the wrong drink to the customer.
Kudos on multi-tasking and keeping us updated.

I think most would agree with me if I said we need...

A left back, a centre back to partner Matip, a pacey attacker and ball playing midfielder.

Mendy, VVD, Keita, Aubameyang and Solanke would represent, quite possibly, the best window we've ever had.Mendy, VVD, Keita, Aubameyang = £210m ish

Agreed. But my, how close is that to our reality?

Right, let's get to it. No time to lose...
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you.

If your heart is in your dreams
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do.

Assuming that the Salah deal is wrapped up this week (yes, I know that is an IF when it comes to LFC), who is the next target that we will go after? My guess is that it is too soon for VVD talk, so it will most likely be Keita (or his backup). It could certainly be a LB but I am not sure that will be the priority at this time.

If the alternative is to sound like Chief Skeptic, than I'm all on board with the hope bandwagon.
Mind, that would mark the greatest transfer window of any team in any transfer window. Ever.
Hats of to FSG and the transfer committee if they accomplish that!

I don't think we do transfers one at a time, although it probably looks that way sometimes. I assume we've been quietly negotiating with other clubs for the past few weeks, but with the Van Dijk fuck-up we've been keeping a tight ship.

I read that Sevilla were not willing to pay to make Jovetic a permanent transfer....

should we be all over that??

There's only so many injury prone players I can get myself excited over.
Right now my quota is full with Chamberlain. :)

Not for me. Too injury prone and he rarely ever scores more than 6 in a league season. What's the point having a striker like that?

Oxlade Chamberlain?! He's good but won't improve us.  Hope it's just rumours.

of course he will improve us . he is a good player and he is still only 23. he still has room for improvement and he has the potential to move up a level. we have maybe 12 or 13 first team calibre players and we need 16 to 17 first team players going into next season so chamberlain is good enough to be in our first eleven or if not he is a great option off the bench and in the squad. would provide great competition for our 2 wide positions, our 2 midfield positions (lallana, gini) and also could provide cover for clyne with the way we play our full backs high. chamberlain is also one of the few arsenal players who isnt soft mentally and will always gives maximum effort.

the chamberlain problem for me is transfer fee, wages and most of all is injury history. i have no doubts about is talent and ability. if klopp made a move i would be fully behind the manager.

Yes, the summer of 2008. He was just a 18 year old kid at the time. Went to Fiorentina that summer, and we got Robbie Keane.

Think we were linked under Rodgers but Rafa genuinely wanted him. Think both before and after the Keane deal he wanted to bring him in along with David Silva. Good god that's ages back now, all those nearly signings back then as well. If only we'd had a genuine owner with cash and not a pair of cowboys.

I think that the first time Rafa wanted him was the summer of 2008, when Jovetic was still at Partizan, but we decided to go after a more experienced striker in Keane. You are correct, Rafa again tried to get him in the summer of 2009, when Jovetic was at Fiorentina, but the money weren't there.

I think you either trust them or you don't. If you don't then sell them, if you do then they are as much in your plans as any other player in the squad. I know others would disagree with me but I'd allow Origi to leave before either of Ings or Sturridge.

Aubameyang----------Firmino------------------Mane
Coutinho--------------Sturridge-----------------Salah
Ings--------------------Solanke----------------Woodburn

I'd buy that for a dollar! ;D

That soes look very nice mate.

We may sign Salah, but I'll show my arse in the middle of town if we sign one of VVD or Keita. Not gonna happen.

I've only seen him in YouTube videos, so I don't know if he can be a #6 and an #8. But he doesn't actively play a defensive role at Leipzig. They use at least one DM (Diego Demme), and sometimes two (Stefan Ilsanker or Rani Khedira).

take my word for it or read back through his thread.

Nothing with any substance. City have apparently moved on to other targets which is how/why the rumours of a bid from Liverpool seemed to gather momentum.

Would be the perfect transfer window and a amazing squad if that happened, with the formation/line-up I would like to see starting. Looks like a premier league winning team to me with a exciting bench too.  The only change I would make is Lacazette for Aubameyang, Aubameyang is obviously a excellent player but to me Lacazette offers bit more when it comes to team work, he is greedy as a striker should be but not selfish if that makes sense.

Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him
