All over the show. Best Napoli side ever in terms of points total I think, and they're bypassed. Matuidi drop is a kick in the nuts: first teamer, solid stats, Scudetto, Coppa Italia, CL QF, starter for France..... -1. Compare to Bonucci who has an absolute stinker of a season, misses the WC and only drops to 94. I mean howaaaay lads!

Dukla's veterans bricking it for the Spanish review.

Hide yo Benzemas!

I assumed they'd be doing Napoli & Juve today but it seems they've already moved on to Spain. Madness. Napoli finished on 91 points and all they got was Mario Rui (who da fook is that guy?!) rising to 88 and Allan to 91. Juve...did any of their players even rise? Just a load of drops for the likes of Matuidi, Buffon & Barzagli.

Only Bentancur I think. Fully expected Higuaín to drop, though I'd have cashed in anyway after bringing in Cavani.

Like buses!

Karmic buses for Aubameyang surviving the ratings review.

Still tight as heck in Division 1. Big three games coming up, must win vs Leeds' fitness freaks, then Depor in the cup, followed by another must win vs Red Star. Rotation. Stations.

No coincidence that Vecino had left but it now back and Xhaxa was injured and is now fit.

The midfield trio is now back.

Had a bad run at the start of the season, but swapped youth for experience and now I’m 6 wins on the bounce, with the last two against top opposition in the league. One more tough game then an easier run in that should see back to back promotions secured!

Everybody still alright with the 35 squad limit here? I used to be broke and nowhere near the limit, but being more financially stable and hovering around the limit now I can see the benefits. Still alright with 35 as well and I like the challenge. It's getting more and more difficult to decide who to sell. Just wanted to throw this out here and see what people's current opinions are.

Still fairly broke to be honest ;D

Think we should keep it at 35 either way, means there's always players to feast on for new managers and old!

I'd gobble up the chance to buy a few more 17 year olds just for the glorious rises, but I think 35 works well. We're seeing a churn of good to very good players being sold to externals as managers buy to sell, which I really like.

CF Externalo:

-------------------DeGea
Cancelo---Bonucci---Kolasinac---Marcelo
----------Ozil---Gundogan---Matic
------Higuain-----Neuer-----Costa

Subs: Immobile, Willian, Fernandinho, Bernardeschi, Sabitzer, Keita, Perisic, Dzeko, Mahrez, Moura

Working well so far I think. If there's one thing I wish could be changed it's the length of transfer bans, an option to toggle them would be ideal.

We are struggling at Feyernoord, finances are a major issue. Another relegation has only worsened things, therefore my highest earners are all available for cash or trade. Koke, Mandzukic, Silva ect all have to go...

;D ;D ;D

I know I'm not supposed to say this (and I couldn't stand him when he was playing for the Mancs!) but over the years I've grown to be quite fond of Ronaldo  :-X :-X :-X Really happy to have brought him in while he's still rated 99.

Congrats on the title by the way Betty, Depor were far too good for the rest of us this season. Bit of a transitional season for Dresden, with this trade marking the end of a major squad overhaul. Couple more tweaks here and there and I'm looking forward to coming back stronger next season. Assuming we're still in Div. 1, of course ;D

Haha, I must admit he's grown on me somewhat over the years. You can't deny his work ethic and will to reach the top. His ego + his preening attitude is what does me in. Long live Messi the GOAT!

It's been a fantastic season for Depor. I was going for an unprecedented cup and league double too, but it didn't work out sadly. Still, hoping we can keep our unbeaten run which stretches back to last season and go undefeated as a first. Dresden up next with my team half fucked though! Will Messi be ready to start?

Making moves to stay in Divison 1 and build from there. Brought in Alderweireld and Gundogan to sure up the side. Adds to the wealth of experience brought in previously in Benzema, Reus, Fabregas, Alba Mickey Ryan and Alonso.

Hoping this mixed with dogged determination sees Sparta cement themselves where they belong.

Congratulations Betty, an incredible season indeed! As long as I'm not your first opponent next season, I hope you break your club record.

Changing the subject from the Sleeping Giants but remaining on Soccermanager..  If Liverpool nap Fekir + Alisson this summer, I'm going to assume Liverpool have been scouting my Gold World Darlington team! Other than Lallana, all these players below were bought before we signed them.

Alisson
Karias (bought and sold)
Matip
Lovrin (bought and sold)
Gomez
Obi
Robertson
Can (no longer ours)
AOC
Kaita (bought and sold)
Lallana (bought while at Liverpool)
Fekir
Salah
Firmino
Mane

If we grab the rest of my team, we'd be practically unbeatable on paper.

Better late than never. Season 9 is in the books!

DIV 1:
Deportivo, Leeds, Deportivo, Deportivo, Dresden, Dresden, Dresden, Dresden, Deportivo

DIV 2:
Foggia, Parma, Torino, Dresden, Rangers, Sporting, Feyenoord, Independiente, Penarol

DIV 3:
Parma, Rangers, Fluminense, Rangers, Brondby, Feyenoord, Fluminense, Flamengo, Rangers

SLEEPING GIANTS CUP:
Valencia, Rangers, Rangers, Red Star, Sparta, Sparta, Valencia, Rangers, Feyenoord

CHARIDEE SHIELD:
Deportivo, Leeds, Rangers, Deportivo, Dresden, Sparta, Dresden, Rangers

Notable dramatic happenings:

Deportivo dominate Div 1 to win their fourth title, breaking Dresden's streak, and almost do an invincibles if not for plucky Red Star, Dresden spin their revolving door, Ronaldo and Messi swap clubs, Sporting escape the relegation fight to finish runners up, top table regulars Leeds drop into the Div 2 free-for-all, an increasingly threatening Penarol win their first league title, Kane scores 18 in 14 in a league with only two unmanaged teams, Kaiser join them along with Flamengo in spite of a late season slump, and Sparta overhaul their squad to escape relegation and send 2025 champs Feyenoord down in their place, Rangers quietly hoover up their eighth and ninth gameworld trophies, and Feyenoord scoop their first cup.

Love those end of season posts  :D

A season of transition for Dresden. Good timing as well, as even at full strength I'm not sure we'd have been able to keep up with Depor this season. Mostly just happy to have retained our Div. 1 status so we can keep raking in the extra cash from European competitions :D Cash is still a big factor at Dresden, although it's noticeable that most teams have a lot more cash these days than when we first started.

Traded away some massive players - Messi, Big Kev De Bruyne, Mbappe. But I really like this new squad we're putting together, led by the GOAT  ;) Also managed to increase the squad size by doing 2 for 1s and 3 for 1s which should make it easier to agree further trades in the future. Onwards!
