I was also thinking about this whilst that Force India fiasco was taking place. The big boys won't accept that shit.
Me too. And he's had such a good 12-18 months - almost entirely rehabilitating his image from early Mclaren days where he crashed regularly (including into Button more than once!)
Really like this current batch of drivers. So many talented youngsters (aside from the obvious Max there's Sainz, Ocon, Wehrlein) and many experienced drivers who wouldn't look out of place making a move like Bottas did this season (Hulkenberg, Perez *ignoring today*, Ricciardo *assuming Red Bull aren't going to catch up for a while).
Even some of the more conservative drivers (Magnussen, Ericson), and some of the inconsistent ones (Grosjean, Kvyat) seem pretty talented and make exciting moves respectively. Obviously there are also the four former world champions too.
Aside from the very young debutants in the poor teams (plus Vandoorne and Stroll, but it's too early), I can only really think of Palmer as a driver that looks completely out of place.
