I don't mind her so much as you seem to. Think Oldfordie's right about the audiences just being 'odd'. For an area which is overwhelmingly Labour, there were some odd reactions to bread and butter policies.

What the beeb do is try to get an equal representation of people and views but what I know they also do is try to break the mold for the area. So since Brexit they will try to get as many Brexit supporters in the room when in London and as many Remainers if they were in Boston.

Only place that doesnt apply is in Scotland, where the only people they can find are leftists and Remainers.

Would explain it if they're deliberately trying to bus in Tories, stealing from Geoff there. Does rather seem to take away the point of touring the country all the same. It was only at the end there that people started to talk about Newcastle and the impact of underinvestment in public services. And this after a large chunk of the audience had been hooting at Thornberry for promising investment in just those things. Would honestly rather them look for locally representative. Suppose it keeps Southport's bus operators busy if they hold one in Liverpool.

I wouldn't mind but it's the oppositions job to rip into the government of the day. it's also the Lords job to do it if they feel Parliaments making a big mistake. too many people listening to bullshit from the Tories about being patriotic and getting behind the Tories handling of Brexit.
Even leave voters shouldn't fall for that rubbish.

because
A) corbyn and mcdonnell are massive cheerleaders of Cuba and Venezuela and we’re for years, jezzas ‘on all sides’ comment about Venezuela for example
B) those other countries aren’t socialist, they fall under social democracy/regulates capitalism. High taxes and free healthcare doesn’t make you a socialist country
C) those two have never spoken up about how we should be more like those countries, only Chavez’s Venezuela

i wouldn't say those countries are socialist states. They are democratic states that provide extra services to the people, for a bit more tax. A bit like the UK in many aspects, but you wouldn't call the UK a socialist state would you?

Free healthcare and education doesn't automatically make a country socialist, thankfully.
