2. Most what has been shown on here (with the notable exception of Alex Honnald soling at Yosemite) is not actually that dangerous or difficult.

It's a mental thing. one of my climbing partners often says: " Why worry about standing on a cliff edge, you don't fall into the road when standing on the kerb". There is no difference except for confidence.

I'm sure it was Rawk where someone once posted a video of this mad walk in Spain, where it was like a couple of planks bolted to a cliff wall...but some of the planks were missing. If someone found that, I wouldn't watch it again, never!

It's not so much the climbing it which amazes me more the fact that they do it with such a carefree attitude, half the time they aren't even holding on. I part admire them for their bravery but part wonder if they have such little regard for their own life that they don't care if they die. Each to their own, as long as they aren't harming anyone else I suppose but the girl in that previous video did look like she was shitting herself

Christ. Anyone been to the Blue Mountains outside Sydney? There's some walks there that are part of the way carved into the rock as well. Not nearly as scary as that but my legs went to jelly a little on some parts of it.
