UPDATE:

Looking at league goals only in the 38 game era, our top scorers are;

31 Suarez (13/14) (Joint all time 38 game record for all clubs)
29 Salah (17/18)
28 Fowler (95/96)
24 Torres (07/08)
23 Suarez (12/13)
21 Sturridge (13/14)
19 Owen (01/02)
19 Owen (02/03)
18 Fowler (96/97)
18 Owen (97/98)
18 Owen (98/99)
18 Torres (09/10)

6 more potential league matches for Salah this season.
2 more league goals needed to match Suarez 13/14.

May as well look at all years and all comps now that Salah's in with a realistic (if outside) chance of topping this too;

47 - Rush (83/84)
42 - Hunt (61/62)  *2nd Division
40 - Rush (86/87)
37 - Salah (17/18)
37 - Hunt (64/65)
36 - Fowler (95/96)
36 - Hodgson (30/31)

That's some serious company he's mingling in. 10 more goals in 11 potential matches (if we get to the final) needed to equal our all time record.

Bass, deFacto et al - in terms of goals scored in all competitions in the 38 game era in English football (i.e. 1989/90, 1990/91, 1995/96 - present), am I missing anyone from this list of players equal or above Salah? Been through all the usual suspects (I think) and can't find anyone else;

44 - Nistelrooy (02/03)
42 - Ronaldo (07/08)
39 - Salah (17/18)

Clive Allen got 49 all comps in 87 not a 38 game league campaign but his 49 is significant because not even Jimmy Greaves scored in 50 in a single season in all comps. Don't think 50+ in all comps has been done since the 1920s or 1930s.

So 49 is the English post war record? Hmmm, 10 more goals needed, 7 or 8 games left to do it. He couldn't......could he??

Think he would have beaten that quite easily, the way we play I could not envisage him not scoring at least 3 in 5 months. - Bobby is also having his best season and is the highest scoring Brazilian in the league now.

I really hope he can smash a few past someone to put him in with a shot of beating Rush's record.

Ox's assist numbers are very impressive also considering he has started a lot less than some of our other midfielders.

This is now his best season for total goals and assists in the league and Europe, with 12. That's a very promising start to his Liverpool career, and I'm confident he can get close to 20 combined next season.

Just saw this fact on an old Ian Rush column in Shoot. Most goals scored by Rushie & Dalglish in one season inc league and cup games - 59 goals. Salah & Firmino have 70 btw them and still counting. Crazy numbers considering how good that partnership was as between 1981 to 84 they scored 161 goals in all games. 161 goals in 3 seasons ....cmon lads you can beat that record in 2 ;)

Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling got 65 between them in 13/14, it's pretty mad how prolific they were that season yet Salah and Firmino alone have outscored them already this season. Really puts into perspective just how brilliant they've both been throughout the season. Add in Mane and the current front 3 are on 87 goals, well on course to hit 100.

42 - Ronaldo (07/08)
39 - Henry (03/04)

Quite ridiculous for the 2nd and 3rd top scorers in a team. One for the older rawkites - is it fair to say that these three are a better unit than the Barnes-Beardo-Aldo attack now?

Incredible numbers

Anyone have any stats on the most goals scored by a team in a  Champions League campaign?

I know this season is the highest in total for goals scored but it's not broken down by teams. Wondering where this puts us overall.

Unbelievable to go from our top goal scorer hitting 14 goals to this in the space of less than a year.

Those who've campaigned for the truth on Hillsborough were once a suppressed minority. Now the minority are those left clinging to the lies.

My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world.

So we've got 38 from 11 at an average of 3.45. Obviously they play less games now, otherwise we would've smashed it
