By that reckoning, you suppose he is going to play in China?

No it's also to with being competitive and playing in the CL. I'm saying if it's between United and City.

Let say United, City and Chelsea offer him the same money i'd say he'd join Chelsea or City, United would be a distant 3rd.

If Madrid end up selling him for 120m+, actually... that will be a great piece of business. He is great, but an ageing player and is on huge wages. They can buy 2 top players to replace him.

However, he is also a marketable player, so I am sure Madrid are making enough money on him to pay his wages.

Well, he is a "Nike" athlete, so that makes the deal a bit unlikely. On the other hand, PSG might be the perfect escape route for him.

More comical to suggest anyone signing Ronaldo is a mistake of sorts. Arguably the best player in the world, everyone will want him. I think if he is to move PSG is most likely, Mourinho and Ronaldo won't work together again.

Ronaldo is not the best player in the World.

And he is 32 already, so any club that sign him would be making a poor investment.

I think physically he is a freak of nature. Rarely gets injured and powerful like hell. He would still cut it in the Premier League for another 2-3 years at least. Our league is hard and fast but we are shit at defending tactically and certainly inferior to Spanish clubs. He would be scoring shit loads.

Someone like Bobby takes 5 chances to score a goal whereas Ronaldo coverts 1 out of 2. Forget that he played for Man Utd and is a c*nt, I would take him in a heartbeat.

I very much doubt he's going anywhere. His ego is too big to reduce his chance of winning team trophies, Ballon d'Ors, scoring goals in CL etc.

This is just the typical "I feel sad", "Bale's fee was bigger than mine and I cannot stand it" whinging that goes on every 2-3 years, and that looks for a new contract most and foremost. Hence the communication strategy from Mendes who normally uses A Bola as a starting point for that.

The problem this time around is, I don't think Ronaldo and Mendes are in such a strong position as they used to be in previous seasons. I know Ronaldo is the ultimate professional and has an extraordinary physique, but he's 32 years old, and he will stop being great at some point soon. As for Mendes, the James, Coentrao, De Gea, and Pepe cases mean he's lost too much power at Madrid.

Yes, that certainly seems to be the case. On the other hand, he seems to be investing in his relations with Man City and PSG. I doubt that Man City can be a possible destination for Ronaldo, for obvious reasons, but PSG seem like a realistic escape route, if he is to leave Real Madrid.

In whatever case, it would be strange seeing Manchester United sell one of the best players ever at 24 yo for 90 million euros, and buy him back, at 32 yo for 150m.

It would also be strange seeing Ronaldo receive passes from the likes of Fellaini instead of Modric. The gap in quality and style is so big that I doubt he would look that great in that enviroment.

Dunno, I just don't see it happening.

Spain football chief Angel Maria Villar Llona arrested

The president of the Spanish Football Federation and his son have been held as part of a corruption investigation, police in Spain say.
Angel María Villar Llona was arrested on suspicion of embezzling funds, El Pais and Efe news agency reported.
Mr Villar, a former Spain international footballer, has been president of the association since 1988.
His son Gorka was among a number of other people also arrested during a number of raids early on Tuesday.
Spain's High Court told Reuters that one of its investigating magistrates and anti-corruption prosecutors were leading the probe.
Spanish media report that the allegations centre on the falsification of documents and skimming profits from international football matches.
There has been no comment yet from Mr Villar, 67, or his lawyers.

'You really have balls'
In Villar's time as president of the federation, Spain's men's football team has won two European championships as well as the 2010 World Cup, becoming one of football's dominant forces.
He has also served on the council of football's world governing body Fifa for the past 29 years, but was reprimanded by Fifa for failing to comply with its internal inquiry into the 2018/22 World Cup bidding process.
Why Spanish stars are in legal trouble
Michael Garcia, who conducted the investigation, wrote that Mr Villar told him: "Well, you really have balls" when the American lawyer refused to reveal who had made allegations against Mr Villar. He also demanded Mr Garcia drop the case "for your own good".
Richard Conway, the BBC's sports news correspondent, said the Spaniard's arrest is significant and a clear signal that the many issues surrounding officials who presided over world football in recent decades continue.

Mr Villar was acting president of Uefa, Europe's footballing body, while its chief Michel Platini was under investigation. He lost out on the presidency in an election last year.
Uefa and Fifa said they were aware of the reports.
Gorka Villar served as the director-general of the South American football confederation Conmebol before standing down last year.
Before standing down, he had been accused of extortion by a number of Uruguyan football clubs.

First half of Betis/Cadiz was cracking. 6 goals shipped in already combined and should of been worse for the home side. Goal chalked off for offsides when the attacking player was at least 3 yards onside.    :wave

It will be great if Valencia wins but i think that's close to impossible. They will surely make the CL though, they may even end up being 3rd team in La Liga.

Quite amazing what happens when you fire a manager like Neville and get an actual manager.
