Christoph Waltz.

Whoever is incharge of the casting should be given an Oscar right away.

Love his acting.

I love Waltz and rate him highly but I think I am more excited by Ms. Belucci being in the film.

Personally every time I read or hear about Waltz I just can't get his hydra-headed Hans Landa performance out of my head - pretty sure I'm not the only one here. Casting him as the archnemesis, I don't know... the inner self is expecting some kind of long conversation while torturing Bond over a glass of milk.

It's probably just me, I haven't watch him in other roles much before.

I can't imagine they've named it "Spectre" and have no intentions of using Christoph Waltz as Blofeld (despite his character being given the name 'Oberhauser').

Sam Smith is rumoured to be doing the theme song.

I'm fine with David Bautista; he'll play a wonderful henchman.

My only small concern is the non-return of Roger Deakins as cinematographer. Skyfall was absolutely gorgeous to look at (the deserted island, the neon skyrise fight scene, the night scene over the ice after the destruction of Skyfall). But they've gotten Hoyte van Hoytema, who did "Let the Right One In", "Her", "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy", and "Interstellar", so I'm hoping we'll get the same kind of look.

I am excited beyond belief for this movie.

I'd put money on  Sam Smith dong the theme song , he's just the male version of Adele and that song did pretty well.

He'll win the league in the next 3 years. Quote me on that.
Quote me on this, but come next season he'll be great for us. Just needs to remove the walking headless chicken next to him

She is a great actress really also seen her in "The Grand Budapest Hotel" small role though. But I would have been much more happier if Adèle Exarchopoulos was a part of this film.

Fuck their budget, Skyfall grossed over a billion and is the 9th highest grossing film of all time, this will probably do a billion too

EON PRODUCTIONS, the producers of the James Bond films, learned this morning that an early version of the screenplay for the new Bond film SPECTRE is amongst the material stolen and illegally made public by hackers who infiltrated the Sony Pictures Entertainment computer system.

Eon Productions is concerned that third parties who have received the stolen screenplay may seek to publish it or its contents. The screenplay for SPECTRE is the confidential information of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq, LLC, and is protected by the laws of copyright in the United Kingdom and around the world.

It may not (in whole or in part) be published, reproduced, disseminated or otherwise utilised by anyone who obtains a copy of it. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC will take all necessary steps to protect their rights against the persons who stole the screenplay, and against anyone who makes infringing uses of it or attempts to take commercial advantage of confidential property it knows to be stolen.

She is stunning. Was superb in a the small but warm cameo in Midnight in Paris as well.

It was just a matter of time before Christopher Waltz played a Bond villian wasn't it? Always wondered why they never used Alan Rickman or Gary Oldman, but I guess there's still time.

Still reckon Tom Hardy is nailed on as the next Bond when Daniel Craig hangs his Walther up though. Image is from Layer Cake before he put all his weight on, which strangely enough, is the film that supposedly hooked Eon onto using Craig as bond.

Yeah Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

QoS started where CR ended.

Don't think any others do though.

No, all stories have mostly been individual stories; even a producer has stated that Bond is a series with a series (Whatever that means). But there are elements that have carried over, like Diana Riggs character. Lazenby's Bond marries her in Her Majesty's Secret Service, she is killed and Sean Connery's Bond tracks down Blofeld for revenge in Diamonds are Forever. I think Roger Moore references her in The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only. I think she is slightly referenced by both Dalton's and Brosnan's Bond, but not by name. Some of the props as well are referenced within each Bond and have more or less been a, you know, thing.

I think the same happened in the last Bond didn't it? With Eva Green's character? Because they seem to have gone down the route of trying to cannonize a series, in that, one Bond film, leads to another. This again, is why I posted a massive rant about the overarching storyline, which I now think could be a wrong assumption, but you never know.

There has always been a "Bond" theory that 007 is his sort of "Sort Code" and his name James Bond is in fact, his codename (Or Account Number). This is grasping a bit I think, but does make a bit of sense in the wider picture. Each Bond, is in fact, within the narrative, a different person, but given the Sort Code/Account Number as an undercover name. This would follow in line with M, Q and Moneypenny. Much like how Doctor Who works, each agent retiring and the name living on. There are of course, facts that disprove this theory, but again, I don't buy into that theory much myself. However, the Director of Die another Day is a big proponent of this theory as well as other people attached to the series. (Well, they would wouldn't they?)

Can't see it personally, he'll be too old.  It would be funny though purely to see how the bond fanatics club react.  They nearly had a meltdown when Craig got the job just because he had blonde hair  ;D

Can see someone like Tom Hardy getting the job.
