Friday the 14th.
So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Yep, Friday the 14th. My brother would always point out the roadsign on the way into London that they drive past.

And to think, it was going to be Jim "Slater" Broadbent. I wonder if it would have been anywhere near as successful without Jason? I doubt it.

I've watched every single Only Fools episode at least 6/7 times and it never gets old. Can remember pretty much every little scene out of this episode and I don't think it would have been as successful without David Jason as Del Boy. Although we will never know.

I think Broadbent would have done a good job to be honest, nowhere near as good as Jason though.

Rodney: Ah, Picadilly. Right, that's mine and I have a hotel, so that's twelve hundred pounds.

Grandad: Twelve hundred pounds for a hotel next to a smelly old waterworks?

Rodney: What?

Grandad: All them sewers. I'd rather sleep in the car, or look for a bed and breakfast.

Rodney: No, you don't understand. Bless his little...look, it's in the rules.

Grandad: Twelve hundred quid-it's scandalous. I ain't a tourist you know

No doubt. I could actually quote pretty much every episode word for word. The (ex) missus bought me an American format boxset the other year (the American version was unedited apparently - unlike the UK equivilant).

The best part is, even though I know exactly what is going to happen, it still has me in tears, and that just sums the whole programme up for me.

Absolute genius. Nothing else even comes close.

The delivery on that line is exquisite, especially with Rodney glaring at Del as he says it.

'No........We aven't got a car-phone.'

Love Only Fools, I have probably watched every episode ten times over. I do enjoy the earlier grandad episodes but the early 90's series were classic only fools. My top 5 episodes as follows:

1. Jolly Boys Outing
2. Yuppy Love (Del falls through bar)
3. Danger UXD (Blow Up Dolls)
4. Touch of Glass (Chandelier episode)
5. Chain Gang
Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool.

Touch of glass for me was so funny -still gets me now when I see it.

Also like the one when Del paints the curry house in the paint used for signs in the tube - and has also painted his Mum's grave that colour too.

Agree with the second part though. They should have left it well alone after the "Time on our hands" episode.

 Strangers On The Shore

Del, Rodney and Denzil find the son of the richest man in Europe in the back of Denzil's truck - only they mistake him for an illegal immigrant!

Del We're just gonna have to let him go then.
Rodney We can't just let him go! A stranger on this estate? Imagine what the gangs will do to him?
Denzil Yeah. For all we know, he could be part of Al-Qaeda!
Rodney Don't be stupid, Denzil.
Del Yeah. I mean, does he look like he works in a furniture store

Three Men, A Woman And A Baby

Mike and Trigger are in The Nag's Head taking bets on the name of Del and Raquel's unborn baby.

Mike What name have they decided on?
Trigger If it's a girl they're calling her Sigourney after an actress, and if it's a boy they're naming him Rodney after Dave.

Also from Three Men, A Woman And A Baby

Del, Trigger and Mike are in The Nag's Head trying to convince Rodney that there are people worse off.

Del Never give up on people, Rodney. I know that most of the time they don't seem to understand. But when you're in trouble and you cry out for help, some will always be there. Trigger's cousin Cyril's a perfect example. He owed 500 quid on his mortgage.
Trigger They were gonna be thrown out on the street the following day. he was very worried about it.
Mike So what happened Trig?
Trigger He drove out to Beachy Head. Parked about five foot from the edge of the cliff.
Albert What, he was gonna drive off it?
Trigger Yeah! He just sat there for a couple of hours, his head resting on the steering wheel. People tried to talk to him out of it but he was too depressed to listen.
Del But then, and this is the what I mean about people, Rodney, they had a whip-round and got him his 500 quid.
Rodney No! Who held the whip-round?
Del All the passengers on the bus.

Strangers On The Shore

There was some good lines in that episode. Still think they should have left it after 'Time on our hands', though.

The best series were 1-3 when Rodney was younger and much more dopey. As the series progressed it almost became a roles reversed situation whereby Del was the dopey one instead.

It's impossible to name a specific number of favourite episodes for me, but these are a list (in no particular order) or some of them:

The Jolly Boys Outing
To Hull And Back (Diamond smuggling)
Friday The 14th
Wanted ("The Peckham Pouncer")
A Slow Bus To Chingford (Trotters Ethnic Tours)
Healthy Competition ("...they're broken lawnmower engines")
Tea For Three ("Get up as high as you can Del, eh...you might get a tan!")
The Unlucky Winner Is (The 'Groovy Gang')

hahaha... That was one of my old time classics... When he came in to see the job done, the room just glowed yellow...  :lmao

My other top moment... To Hull and back Absolute Classic... When they bought a dodgy boat and set sail accross the North Sea... Denzil on the shore spotting Del Boy leaning on the boat... I nearly died laughing that moment... I couldnt breathe for a minute.

Then when they were lost in the North Sea... " Oi John...Which way to Holland?"  :lmao
