No sound thanks mate, same as previous season, open the bag, they peer inside and then give you a tag to say its been searched. There are no que's in the disabled sections. Not sure how it would be in other parts of the ground though.

My Mum recently had a new kitchen installed. The old one was disassembled and left at her house, as she'd arranged to have most of it taken away for scrap by a friend. However there were also a couple of hefty pieces of granite that she was looking to sell herself. She couldn't find these after the job was done, and after chasing up the issue it turns out the kitchen fitter had taken them away (presumably to sell himself). He says he is trying to track these down.

The kitchen was bought from Wickes I believe, and then installed by someone of their choosing. She opted out of any payment for anyone to deal with the old kitchen, so it seems ridiculous that part of it is missing.

Assuming the material can't be found who should we chasing up, Wickes or the fitter? Quite a hard scenario as I don't have all the exact details since I don't live there.

Complete guess, but I'd say Wickes. The contract was with them, not the fitter. Essentially theft isn't it?

I'd agree with this, the fitter is subcontracted by Wickes, so it is them that should be chased up. If the fitter can't find them, then Wickes should re-imburse for the value.

Ultimately Wickes.

The fitter will probably lose all referrals from Wickes because of this (probably deserved), so may be amenable to just giving your mum money directly if he knows she will go to Wickes. Possibly also an easier route to go.

Not sure if the picture in the link of the entire signpost helps you work out exactly where the sign might be situated. Looking at it, though, it's clearly in or around the park.

Happy hunting!  ;)

EDIT: Sorry if you looked at the link when I first posted it and just got a million different 'Anfield' signs by my error. I've posted a new link which hopefully works better for you. I'd just post the damn pic but don't know how to do it.  :-[

Also, the text on the page says the sign is in the park itself.  ;)

Looking at Google Maps - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Priory+Rd,+Liverpool/@53.4331779,-2.9645358,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x487b217bafbc7213:0x41f2f9dbed21469b!8m2!3d53.4337268!4d-2.9559377 you can see the paths in the park. Judging from the orientation of the signs my guess would be it's at an intersection of the paths at the edge of the park by the Anfield B&B and Soccer Suite (follow the path into the park opposite Soccer Suite?)

Think that is a newer one put up around the new Main (or the walk way to it) when it was built.

Looks like a sign around the park to be honest, which one I’m not sure but take your kids for a walk around there anyway and go hunting for it, worth the look!

In bit of a predicament with my last workplace. I booked a holiday before I started but I left there on 24th June, so I should have been paid until 17th July (end of my holiday). However, they called 24th June my last day and didn’t pay me for the leave that I booked. It even says on the P45 that my leaving date was 17/07. What can I do from this point?

First question is... have you accrued the leave?

If you’ve already taken 3 weeks leave this year then you may not have accrued any more..

Contact the HR department and ask for an explanation

Not sure to be honest, I started in January of this year so I'm guessing yes, but I booked it before I started and it was approved. Getting ACAS involved anyway, it's a bit of a mess.

As you were only there about 5 or so months you won't have been due the full (annual) holiday entitlement. You need to work out what you were due and then see if you've taken this/been paid for it.

If annual entitlement is 20 days (plus bank holidays) you accrue 1.5 days holiday per month, to me it seems HR have taken this into consideration, but like previous posters, it's probably best to speak to the HR department for clarification.

Not saying it's the right thing to do necessarily, but on my last 3 visits to the US, I've just put the Holiday Inn of the city I'll be staying in, despite not staying there and haven't experienced any bother.

You can update your ESTA before you fly anyway if you're particularly concerned.

Given the US obsession with security, I've always thought that the ESTA process was particularly flaky. My mate put his wrong date of birth when we went to Boston last year and it wasn't picked up.
Thanks for the reply mate.

I was in two minds to put on my Esta that I'd been banned for drink driving 20-odd years ago (I was 19 and a tool). I chose not to bother mentioning it and nothing was said.

Went to visit a few friends I hadn’t seen in many years. One of them is recently single and I’ll be lying if my trip didn’t have ulterior motives. We’d only been friends before but I always felt there was a connection there, a possible romance.

The group of us spent a fun day together and the girl asked intimate questions whenever we were alone. She was also quite touchy feely throughout. That night, we danced a little, I got quite close to her and was very close to going in for a kiss, but couldn’t get the right moment.

Within the space of the next 15 minutes, she was on the phone texting, and invited some other guy to the event. She then takes him back to the flat we’d all rented out. The taxi home and the next morning where among the most awkward I’ve experienced. I was pure class to the guy and can hold my head up that I didn’t do anything stupid. Where did I go wrong or have I dodged a bullet? Can’t believe I’m that bad at picking up signals from women...

Based on the Muslims I work with, some won't touch anything haram even if its in a package, while others would touch the packaging but not the pork itself. There may be sects who would cook pork but not eat it, I'm unaware of them though.

Anyone ever been a victim of parcel theft by courier, specifically Hermes? I sold a PS4 and for the shipment I used two boxes and taped them together. But when the buyer got it, it was only the smaller box which means someone's nabbed the other box without the label. Going to rant at Hermes but not sure if Ebay can do anything about this? Buyer will be asking for a refund so I'm gonna be seriously out of pocket

It was covered upto £25 but I took a chance as I've never had anything major go missing so this is a first for me. Bought the label off Ebay so maybe it could've been insured, not sure. Either way, not looking good.

But when the buyer got it, it was only the smaller box which means someone's nabbed the other box without the label. Going to rant at Hermes but not sure if Ebay can do anything about this? Buyer will be asking for a refund so I'm gonna be seriously out of pocket

Have you contacted Hermes about it? Maybe it just fell apart, so now they have a box with no label on and no idea who it  came from.

Yeah put in a complaint but I don't see how it fell apart, it was taped very securely. I'll wait to hear from them.

A couple of years ago, there was a journalist who went on Sky Sports News, and talked about how Sheikhs attach to big football brands like Chelsea and City, so they can hide how they make a money. Jim White just dismissed it 'Who cares, we are watching great football'.

Who is that journalist, and is there a video?

Was it Matthew Syed on Abramovich’s tenth anniversary at Chelsea? He was scathing in that.
