Very nice play on words mate. But pretty smart marketing to open up in Liverpool 1 as Everton 2 - they wish eh?
There is nothing wrong with striving to win, so long as you don't set the prize above the game. There can be no dishonour in defeat nor any conceit in victory. What matters above all is that the team plays in the right spirit, with skill, courage, fair play,no favour and the result accepted without bitterness. Sir Matt Busby CBE KCSG 1909-1994

The episode were snowy jumps out the window and dies when the social turn up . In a building opposite the royal hospital that has lain empty to this day . Just seen last week hoardings put up so more student flats I imagine . Some of the scenes in the series show how bad some parts of Liverpool were . Our day out by willy Russell is the same , the clip were they are leaving for the day out on the coach shows Liverpool looking like Beirut .

It was filmed in the old bridewell on Prescot Street, opposite the Royal.

The scene were Yozza does his famous 'giz a job' scene, as also filmed on the corner, near the traffic  lights.

As a kid I thought they actually had blue water, wasn't until my teens I realised that the bottom of the pool was painted blue.

And you are dead right about the abrasive qualities of that concrete. Should be patented as an anti burglar device.

Aye mate.

When we were kids we used to go past it on the bus. There was a church nearby and one of my mates thought it was Westminster Abbey, due to the name of the bank.

What a fantastic building, it's unbelievable that someone would even entertain knocking that down.

They knocked it down in 1973, ready to build a government building, probably along the lines of the Triad.  But the government cancelled the project and it was left as a hole in the ground till they built John Lewis.

It's utterly criminal, and what's worse is that we're still doing shit like that.
I don't always visit Lobster Pot.  But when I do. I sit.

Yes they performed there, it was part of a TV special with a number of other bands.

I do remember being on the gust list once for similar at the Albert Dock, with Chaka Khan and Run DMC amongst others.

Nothing new in that, or that can't be predicted for what's left.

Anyone any idea what's happening to the old Irish Centre (ie Wellington Rooms), or , as expected with the bunch of Philistines on the Council, will it go the same way as the Futurist?
